What does Allen Co-Scottsville need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Step one is hire a coach. The job has been open for some time now, and while there's no particular hurry at this point I guess, that's still going to be the first step. AC/S will have a lot to replace this next year, but step two would be to win a game at region. They've had a very long dry spell in the regional tournament, winning only one regional tournament game since 1996.

What does Allen have back for the future as far as freshman jv and even middle schools? I always think that one county schools sometimes have a nice crop coming up somewhere.

Not alot of movement about the job at this point, seems that it has died down, but there was alot of talk about it mainly because of the timing and it is looked upon as a good job in the 4th region.

Can you give us some background and coaching experience of these candidates? I am only familiar with one of them. Thanks.

Willet - has been an assistant at ACS the last 8 or so years

Buttry - Head Coach at Mad So. I think

Lindsey - Former Warren Central boys assistant and current Girls coach at Franklin Simpson.

Some other names floating around:

Combs - Head Coach at Cumberland

Breeze - Head Coach at Bracken Co.

 

Lindsey and Combs were both assistants the first couple years Warren Central went to Sweet 16, and Coach Breeze went to Western so there is that tie I guess, Willet has worked under 3 coaches I can remember.

I hope it's anyone but Coach Lindsey. I've got my heart set on him as Riley's successor whenever that awful day happens.

Shane Buttry can flat out coach. Has gotten more out of no talent than anyone.
