Didn't know if there was something more to this than previously posted. The only issue I would see is the difference in maturity, not necessarily the ability to play at that level, but the life experiences the older girls have had and as a parent do you want your daughter growing up faster in that respect. I would lean to the side of letting them grow up wth their friends even if it meant saying "no". Who really is this for the child or the parent?

What is the "middle school rule" ?

Who does Boone have playing on their team? Heard their coach was "T'd" up at the Scott tourney.

Any word on other games? I heard Ryle beat Conner in their second game. Ludlow and Holmes were playing next.

Not for sure where I had heard this, but i was thinking the same as MC and OC. With the depth that the Boone County Schools have they shouldn't have to reach down that far for players unless thier getting greedy. Maturity plays a major role at the varsity level.

What is the rule for playing up as a 7th or 8th grader? From what I understand they would have to move right to varsity and could not play frosh or J.V. Does anyone know how this would work?

I know Scott had a good run last year after losing some key players. Campbell seems to put an aggressive team on the field. Do you know who they have returning?

Do I detect a little animosity? How do you see things HD.

Three NKY teams showed up in the Coaches top 25: 4 - Ryle 18 - Highlands 23 - St. Henry Good Luck to these teams.

From what I heard Highlands scored the only goal in the game. Ryle's coach let the starters play the first 15-20 min then put in J.V. players for the rest of the game with starters switching in and out sporadically. Don't know when the goal was scored?

Ryle returns approx 15 players that were juniors on last years team. Most of those players were starters. That gives them a very deep bench. Coaches will be able to sub without missing a beat. Good Luck Ryle !! Senior Players: Johnathan Erickson Austin Sebald Austin Schobel Thomas Lesser B.J. Santiago Brian Campbell Patrick Behne Wes Jones Michael Muniz Billy Martin Brian Drennan Andrew Davies David Osborne Justin Leport Jarrod Holloman

Ryle boys beat Dunbar 4-0 in their first game to advance to the gold medal game against GRC. A very hot and exciting game tied 1-1 at end of regulation. Ryle won in PK's for gold. I believe St. Henry's also won gold in their bracket.

Congratulations to Cory.

As time keeps getting closer, what are the very early preseason thoughts for boys high school soccer in the '08 season. Who returns who? Who will make a run for state? Can a NKY team challenge again this coming season? Your early thoughts throughout the summer.

Way to go Raider's !!! Football, Soccer, Fastpitch, now Baseball. Coop has to be smiling. Keep rolling.

Games have been pushed back approx 1 hour

Congrats to Ryle J.V. players and coach Jim Demler. He keeps showing up year after year with a competitive team. Good Job Raiders !!!

How many innings did each pitcher throw in the cold? Did Seabold pitch any varsity games last year?

Thanks for the info! I'll probably stop by to catch some of the game. I have tickets for opening day, but can't stay for the entire game. Sounds like this is a big early season match-up for these two teams.

Heard there are some NKY teams playing in this tournament. Who are they and whats the competition going to be like?
