Correction,that was Coach Jones ,the girls coach, who invited the boy's to play in the Bowman. This tournament means alot to him and he doesn't want us to forget what it is about. This tournament is in memory of the Bowman children and other children in our community who we have lost.He also wants us to know that Mackenzie Foley,a 3 year old friend and neighbor,has been diagnosed with cancer in her thoat,hip and kidneys.As we go into the holidays may our thoughts and prays be with her and her family.

That was coach West who expanded the Bowman. Evarts, Monticello, and Burgin in the first year I think. Coach West was a positive influence on coach Pennington and Lynn Camps development. He was also the major factor in Corbin and their resurgence. Tony P is lucky to have such a veteran coach on the sideline.

Bubba sounds like both coach P's will have to refocus their teams and kick some A_ _. Now is the time of the year for basketball teams to be reborn. Better now than later. I've got a feeling both Corbin and Lynn Camp will play much better in the coming weeks. :fight:

What are everyones predictions on this 13th region matchup?:confused:

If OBI can force Clay County to play their game and if they continue to improve on their defense they have a chance to win this game. They have a lot of athletic ability and some really great shooters. Clay will ride their tradition and the name on their jerseys into Oneida.

How good can the wildcats be if they improve their defense as the season goes on?

Hey largemouth, "this one time at band camp"! Just kidding! Look OBI is very athletic and has a nice team. Lynn Camp won by 10 pts. Who knows maybe they will see each other in the All A. Good luck to OBI the rest of the season. Lynn Camp is not that bad this year so its okay to get beat by them! :sssh: Give us a run down on the OBI vs. Redbird game large mouth.

Should be a fun game to watch. I hear a lot of Camp alumni are coming in to watch the game. :dancingpa

Pennington doesn't win the big games anyway. He just coaches them. Our wildcats are the ones win them.:fight: Run Cats Run! Lynn Camp around 500 students 7-12. Small All A school surrounded by KC, Corbin, and South. All tradition rich basketball schools. Not much basketball tradition. Pretty much a football school untill now. Before coach P the camp had 3 wins. Had never beaten central since 1966. Never won 17 game since the Gerald Foley era which was a school record until three years ago. Only 5 district runner up trophies in school history Coach P and his staff were a part of one. The first since 62. Two players in this 4 year coach P era have went to college on basketball scholorships. Last year we were the third leading scoring team in the state. Big wins Jackson County, Pineville, Whitley, Wayne, and Knox Central. All bigger schools except pineville. Not to bad for a school that is picked below most of the region this and every year!:ylsuper:

After seeing many of the pre-season scrimmage results who are the most underated or suprising teams in the 13th?

Against OBI Mitchell had 19 and Sizemore had 21. Lynn Camp had 5 players in double figures that game and they only played 10 minutes a half. Against Rockastle Sizemore had 13 and Mitchell had 7. 13 Players for Lynn Camp scored and their starters only played about a half. Lynn Camp is much better, deeper, and talented than expected.

Corbin looks great right now! South will be better than what people think. Pineville will also be solid along with a very talented Cumberland team. A lot of people will be shocked when they see Lynn Camp play this year. They are even more fun to watch this year. Good luck to all teams in the 13th!

Three very athletic teams faced off at Lynn Camp last night. In the first game lynn Camp beat a very athletic OBI team 81-71. In the second game Rock beat OBI by 10 or 12 pts. In the third game Lynn Camp beat the Rock by a score of 64-50. All three teams should do well this year. Lynn Camp looks very deep and has balanced scoring. Good luck to all three teams this year.
