What are everyones predictions on this 13th region matchup?:confused:

Lynn Camp wins 85-80

Lynn Camp is playing at home which is a plus, but do they have a way to slow down the BIG MAN (Brumback)? If the wildcats shoot the ball well from the outside they can play with anyone, this game IMO is a toss-up at this point.

Lynn Camp may be improved, but I dont think they have the talent to beat a team like Jackson. A wild, undiciplined, run and gun game will be right up the Generals alley and they have more weapons than the campers and IMO will take care of business in this one.

Last season, the Campers BEAT Jackson County at their place by three (58-55) and the Generals were more talented than Lynn Camp.

Looked like Lynn Camp adjusted and beat the Generals at their game by scoring only 58 points, which was there third lowest point output of last season.

Calling Lynn Camp undisclipined is a reach, too.

In their first three games, they're averaging around nine turnovers a game, but hey, what do I know?

I agree it will be run and gun, but other than Brumback I'm not sure the Cats don't have just as many weapons. IMO over the last 3 years JC should have done much better than they have.

That was last year and Jackson clearly had a much underachieving team without any very good wins at all, but having seen them at AAU this past summer I felt like they would be a more mature and improved bunch this year with everyone back. As for Lynn Camp, they have beaten Berea, Williamsburg and Red Bird!!! Lets not get too carried away with these victories, let them meet up with a quality team that actually attempts to play a little defense before you have them actually competing with the Regions best. This game will probably be a shoot out, but if I was Jackson I would go down low to the big guy so much he wouldnt be able to walk after the game! Just a few thoughts from up here in Harlan county

Lynn Camp will adjust as needed. Coach Pennington is a sharp cookie. Jackson will come into the game fired up after a loss to Knox Central. Brumback is a beast and will give any team in the region fits. Lynn Camp will have to hold their own on the backboards and limit the Generals to the outside shot. One and done has to be the motto of the day for the Cats. I agree Jackson has alot of weapons. I like Whitehead and Creech especially. Lynn Camp is a hard place to shoot the ball well for most visiting teams. If the Cats can withstand the early Jackson surge I look for them to be right there til the finish. I will take Jackson 70 -67. But the Cats put up a very good fight til the finish.

Hey Les, you are the guru, I am just an intense observer with lots of thoughts and ideas. I guess I get carried away sometimes, but its just a strong passion for sports, especially 13th Region and mountain sports. Keep up the good work sir, I actually really enjoy what guys like you and John Henson bring to sports in the area.

I believe anyone can be beat in the 13th region this year, thats whats so good about this year. There will be a lot of so called "upsets" this year. We will see who improves most over the next two months. The only thing you can tell by the first 3 to 6 games about a team is what # is on the jerseys. lol. There is a lot of teams that don't show up tourny time like they do during the regular season.

No way the score will be this low! I realize the three teams LC won over are far from world beaters and I stated in another thread the Cats have a ways to go before they are anywhere near the top region teams (so don't worry Cumberland is safe;)) but I still feel this game will be a toss-up at LC, unless Jackson Co. plays to their full potential then it would become a real, real tough match-up for LC.
