Sounds as if Henley is turning the Dawgs loose a little tonight.

I can't figure out Holmes offense they are lights out at times like the 1st quarter but then seem to struggle like they did in the second and like they did against Boone for an entire game. Gotta get more consistent if they want a shot at a state title.

Did Pittman play in 2nd if so he seemed to be a non-factor scoring wise after first quarter?

Are they trying to surpass their point total from Tuesday's game in the 1st quarter.

Top ten in all those polls and on the road I agree the Holmes loss is not as bad as alot of posters are making it out to be. Holmes flat out got beat by a very good team on the road.

Holmes season could hinge on the Pittman injury. You just don't lose a player of that caliber and not be affected. Let's hope its just a sprain and he'll be fine in a couple of weeks.

According to the NKY Post blog Pittman's wrist injury could be pretty serious. Coach Henley was quoted by the reporter as saying that it does'nt look good at this point. Let's wait and see but man what a loss for Holmes if it is serious and takes Pittman out for an extended time. Hope for this kids sake its just a sprain and he'll be 100% by district tourny time.

Any idea of the shooting percentage for Boone? They seem to be scoring pretty easily on Holmes.

If Boone goes on to victory will the loss be a positive for Holmes going forward or will it become a distraction?

Holmes problem is over confidence. They play to the level of their opponent. If they play a better team they step it up. If they play a lesser team they play good enough to win. Case and point they built a 19 point lead in third quarter against Highlands, let Highlands come back to within three, then pushed the lead back out to ensure victory. Look at what they did to Bryan Station after an early loss to them, a 18 point victory at Bryan Station. Holmes needs to get consistent down the stretch with their level of performance against whoever they play or come tourny time an unexpected loss could ruin a stellar season.

Looks like both Holmes and Elliott Co. both had tougher nights than expected. Just goes to show when your on top of the mountain everybody wants to knock you off. Better bring their "A" game every night or somebody will get them!

If Holmes can maintain for about three minutes of 4th it'll be time for the big three to put the game away.
