Loved the way Coach Jones rotated his players in and out. If he needed rebounding a big kid would replace a point guard and vise versa. If a kid got out of control he found time to think about it. Rotated men on Neeley and wore him down. Started missing a few ( very few ) in the last quarter. Otherwise he would have had 50 and a trip to Richmond. Used Davis and Carlton late in the game for a little muscle and it payed off. Perkins got hurt and was sitting through most of the Owen comeback. Jones put him back in and although he didn't score again the bleeding stopped. The rest of the team is better with him on the floor.

Don't get me wrong Hester has game but not Neeley game. Neeley is D1 and these KY. school better start looking or Tenn. will. They have a Neeley type of player there now. Only Neeley shoots better.

Ladies and Gentlemen don't let me be the first to let you in on this little secret but Carroll doesn't need to wait on talent. They have it now. There are coaches in this district that would either win with the kids they have now or get rid of them. It would be up to the kid.

Gallatin could not hold a district game in the old gym for years. The class 'A' they could. They have cleared the old gym but unlike Eminence they did not charge again if you had a ticket.

8th region point guards. Hester used to be the best but from what I've seen Neeley is better. If you haven't seen them both you had better go watch Neeley before you drill me on how good Hester is.

Probably should start a Neeley post, but the kid is the real deal and one heck of a kid. Will start that post, but now THIS is for the cats. Great win! Perkins had a great tournament and at the end it was voted the MVP. Good thing about him is that if one of his teammates was playing better ball the win would be much more important than the award. Great team player. Owen has Neeley. Gallatin has a team. Good luck in Richmond.

Carroll had them down at the half the last time they played at Gallatin but just couldn't hold on.

Been to all 7 school and Henry when they were still 'A', only at Eminence. I wonder if they let their 25 fans stay for the second game.

Might have to wait a couple days. He'll be to hyped up to type :jump: Go Raiders

High priced, dirty, and the very worse gym left in the 8th for a fan. It didn't look much better for the players the way they were sliding around the floor. Reminded me of the old $2.00 shoes from the 50's and 60's. Sad.

Heard Trimble was up by 7 over Carroll at half.

I hope no one gets hurt playing in that gym. It looked like they were playing on an ice rink. Not once did I hear anyone's shoes squeaking from a cut.

Gallatin won going away, everyone on the bench did play with some getting several minutes.

I think Daniel does mean more to Owen than Nate does to Gallatin but the way Carroll has played I wouldn't put them at the bottom and had he not been there some of the other players probably would have stepped up.

7:00 The question is who do you think will be playing and who will win? The big three are Walton, Owen, and Gallatin, but Eminence has been playing better and come tourney I don't count anyone out. All the named players aside if it comes down to the best "team" Gallatin has to be the team to watch. Owen and Walton should see each other in the second round. The two Sophomores for Gallatin can at times take over a game. Giles and Brown always give them the defensive energy they need. T. Jones can lite you up and play a solid floor game. Perkins will quietly score 15 grab 8 rebounds have 6 assist and 4 steals and you will never hear his name unless you are in the apposing teams huddles. This is without talking about Davis or Hensen.

Once she gets to WKU I'm sure Whitney will think she is in a different world, as well she will be. I have faith that once she quits playing all 5 positions in one game that she will be a much improved player. Good upbringing and she is only 17 along with the up side she has, IMO will surface.

Handle is probably not the best choice of words. Neeley can certainly match Edmondson but so far I haven't seen anyone handle either one of these young men. They bring a lot of energy to their respective teams.
