Any stats? One of the WKU coaches was in the audience, she had to be happy with her new recruit.

Carroll has been playing very well of late, nice win coming off the all a regional championship. Carroll has just been overpowering teams this season.

I look forward to seeing the Lady Panthers take the court at EKU. The way they are playing it seems to me as they may make some noise at Richmond. Good luck Lady Panthers.

Whitney had 22 points and 11 boards but wasn't very impressive. She may have been pressing with her new coach in attendance. However, I do think she needs to work on some bad habits. 1) Hustle up the floor on EVERY possession. 2) If she's going to shoot the 22-28 foot shot, follow it. Don't stand and admire it. She hits a very low percentage of these shots and could probably get several rebounds from the misses. 3) Block out better. She depends on her size way too much and needs to get out of this habit before she moves to the next level.

 

All this being said I believe she has a tremendous upside and is an outstanding young lady and basketball player. She is a team player and if she can make the above improvements, it will only make her and the Lady Panthers better. I believe they can do some major damage in the All A state tournament.

I just wanted to say that Grant County was sad we had to lose our chance to play Carroll County one more time ( Carroll 47 Grant Co 40 ) 1st time.

We were all looking forward to playing Carroll at our house, but, our chance was cancelled due to the All A Tournament. Too bad for us, we were charging up for this game, our girls wanted to have our chance to prove their ability, i guess we'll never know.

Are they going to reschedule earlier in the week or at another time? I think it would be a good game also, although I saw the last game against Grant and I have to say that the Lady Panthers have really improved, especially the outside shooting of the young Soph and Fresh girls.

 

I have not seen Grant lately so they they may have improved also. Is there no discussion of re-schedule?.

Once she gets to WKU I'm sure Whitney will think she is in a different world, as well she will be. I have faith that once she quits playing all 5 positions in one game that she will be a much improved player. Good upbringing and she is only 17 along with the up side she has, IMO will surface.

Whitney is a great player but we also must give credit to the rest of the team. The other players have done an outstanding job..Girdy, Wallace, Lowe, Osborne and Henderson have really worked hard and they all want Whitney to shine and have a great senior season.

 

I am not sure she has to play all 5 positions but she certainly is capable.

 

As far as Super B's points for improvement, he has some good points, I think it is easy for her to rely on her height at this level and will have to break some of these habits next year. However, it seems to be working right now!

I was told that the game was cancelled due to the All A, it was scheduled for Feb. 2 @ Grant. We won our game tonight " Grant 66 - Walton-Verona 49"

It would be a good game if we could play it, i believe.
