  1. I look for Raceland to keep Paris in the 0-for category in a big way. Rams back on track.
  2. O.K. I guess what I'm getting at is, would you feel better about losing a tough fought game to your brother. Or beating your daughter. I understand to an extent of what your saying. But this is how I feel about this type of situation.
  3. Boyd County comes away with their first win. It doesn't even matter what the score is.... There will be a "W" in the win-loss column. GO LIONS!!!
  4. Russell is good, but not as good as they were the past 2 years. I really think they are running on a rich tradition of winning, and the confidence that goes with it. More so now than the last couple of years.
  5. First of all I didn't say I was upset, I said I was shocked. I could of cared less either way -- I would of had an opinion either way. But I wasn't upset. As far as the other team being better allows you to get better, I understand that. But the other team wasn't better, it was the second team. To me them were light reps and trying to get a good pump. And for being more upset if Russell would have left thier first team in, is saying the game was already decided. All I was saying was, I was shocked that Lawrence didn't let thier second team play. Hey, that was just quality playing time for their {Russells} 2nd team.
  6. This game could have very well been 49 - 8. It kinda' shocks me that Lawrence left thier first team in for practically a whole quarter after Russell had called off the dogs. Good game Devils.
  7. Looks like Raceland is back on track and ready to roll. I thought this game would have been closer. Glad your back John Carver.
  8. Hated to see either one of these teams lose, but Good job Ashland! And hang in there Boyd. It seems you've been one play away every game.
  9. No way....... JOHNSON CENTRAL sits on top all by themselves.
  10. 7 - Belfry 5 - Lincoln Co 3 - Greenup Co 2 - Paintsville 1 - Betsy Lane TB - Belfry
  11. But Belfry is not on the schedule. That being said Russell 44 Law. Co 13
  12. I agree with this statement 100% FBALL. They don't look like they are enjoying being out there. And they walk to everything when they are on the field. I don't care what anyone else says, the walking around on the field looks terrible. I even heard one of the coachs screaming "Quit walking" and they all ignored him. And I know they heard him. They just don't think they have to put out until they are standing in the middle of the fire. As simple as that sounds, it will bite em' in the behind sooner or later.
  13. That's what I was going on when I made my earlier statement. I fear the same thing Play To Win. Their game with Mason was not a fair assessment of what East is capable of. Then throw in TYJO playing at 75 to 80%. Someone on defense is going to have to crank it up a few amps.
  14. 7-Williamsburg 5-Pineville 3-Johnson Central 2-Mercer County 1-Boyd County TB- Williamsburg
  15. 7 - Russell 5 - Lincoln Co 3 - Rockcastle 2 - Raceland 1 - Whitley Co TB - Russell
  16. That's funny you said that about Ironton and the fullbacks. Wheelersburg's fullback is Ironton's last years fullback.
  17. Coal Grove always seems to have a big line and a speedy back. If the Dawgs passing game is on [which I don't know anything about it] they will have a chance. But if not CG 28 LC 7. Plus the Grovers will be playing their first game on the new turf field.
  18. I really didn't think the Lions had enough maturity to pull this one off. Congratulations!!! Elliott County. The most hustling team in the 16th. YOU are the 16th region now, show em' what we got. GOOD LUCK!
  19. Ashland seems to always pull out the close games. Congratulations! And Good Luck. Which is tougher a tomcat or a lion?
