Maybe , but certainly not going out of your way to play the top teams in the state .I do not consider playing teams from your area (HHS -obviously the best in this list ,Calvary .Silver Grove ,Newport ) as playing that tough of a schedule . Ryle ,Cov Cath and Beechwood went out of the way to play O-Cath,Tates Creek Danville ,Appollo and others .These 3 travel to go find these teams .If you want to get better you are going to have to travel to find the top teams and ask to play them .

You are kidding right ?? They have played 2 teams outside the region or N.KY.Greenup Co. and Fostoria ,OH who was not very good .Have you looked at the schedules and places Ryle ,Cov Cath and Beechwood have played .

Yes 2 JRS AND 2 SENIORS .I just thought maybe Farris opted not to go for some reason .I have heard rumors he has played this season not at 100% .:confused:

In seeing Dunbar play 3 times this year I can tell you speed does not matter to them .You better be able to keep them off balance with mixed off speed pitches .I do not know if that will even help .They can flat hit !

These are the ones I seen in the paper .If there is an injury do they choose somone else ? Maybe that is how the New Cath player is in ????

Only the sectional is a 3 game series .Once you get to Applebee's it is 1 and out .

Congrats to a great kid on the award .Dustin is a class act who deserves some good .I do believe Beechwood had 1 stolen base in that game BUT KID GOT A GREAT JUMP.Dustin had at least 1 hit and an RBI vs BHS .

Maybe Elliot pitched better than I thought .Maybe he kept a great hitting team at bay .I know th errors that have killed BW this year did not show until the 6th maybe .It was still a "GREAT GAME " .SORRY I COULDN'T RESIST .Good Luck tonight.Maybe we'll see ya next year (with the same L/U -1)

I thought it was more of a linedrive than fly ball ( A hump back liner if you will ) that was hit pretty solid .I believe it landed on the track or close to it .It would of been a great catch if he could of came up with it . I thought Ryle looked good ,this was my first view of them .They seemed to keep there composure while BW hang in and kept chipping at them .I wonder if Ryle would of pressed more if BW had taken the lead in the inning they tied it at 4 .I believe they left a runner at 3rd . I am sure no one expected the game to be tied going to the bottom of the 6th .A couple people just arriving for the next game mentioned they were shocked . Elliot actually did not pitch his best ,as he hasn't fo a couple outings now . Word is he is working thru an injury .This was not said to take anything away from Ryle .They hit the ball well and earned the win .Congrats

Yes , Brad I know goes to Dixie and is an 8th grader.He is a very good player .He can pitch and catch .Thought it may be him .

Yes .They are 9th region umps .The 1 at first is a normal varsity ump ,and a good one .The guy at 3rd I normally see do tourneys and have not seen at many HS games .Thegut behind the plate usually does younger ( 12-14 ) games in tourneys .The other 1 I do not know .
