I would not qoute times .The Ryle Ludlow game is 6-0 in the 2nd ,YES Ryle is winning .I'd say they will keep them going the run rule game or games may catch things up .Beechwood did win 5-1 with a sophmore throwing and struggled with control .Newport had 4 hits but left 8 on .They were kind of flat and did not hit well .BW had 9 hits

There is no fair way to seed the district ,IMO. There is no one that sees these teams play enough to judge them .Going by a record would not be fair .Look at who Beechwood has played this year .How many times can you play a state ranked team ,#2 3 times .

I agree and disagree .If it is voted on by reporters and others who really do not know the game it is bad OR DO IT BY STATS . If voted on by your pears who appreciate the game the way it should be played than it is good IMO.

Holmes is a very young team . I know Boone Co. ALMOST HAD A GREAT COACH .Mr Mike does a great job there .He takes after his old man with his desire to win .Congrats to NCC

Are we positive about Monday games ? My friends kid (player ) said they were told play will be Tuesday .

I agree with this S3 .I have been on both sides of the collapse where the losing team wins this game also .It is not fair to the subs to face a bigger zone .

I agree with you LETMPLAY .I too love to watch good baseball .Do not root against kids .I too will hope the best for my school and will root for whoever makes it to state . I was curious about the rankings because I thought they were computed somehow .If they are ones opinion ,they are just that -OPINIONS

So the Top 50 thread is what you are calling the strength of schedule rankings ? There is no way 46 teams played a tougher schedule than Beechwood .Dunbar 3 times ,Appollo,Lex Christian ,Owensboro Cath ,and all the teams ranked in the top 3 in No.Ky.

Where do you find the info on strength of schedule ? I 'd like to see the list of toughest schedules

Word is Ryle is rolling on to a big victory

Beechwood gets the 1 seed .They play Holmes on Tuesday .Cov Cath plays HC on Monday . Cov Cath has graduation on Tuesday .Championship on Wed. All games are at Meiken .

Due to injury at the varsity level ,Beechwood is starting only 1 soph (1st year catcher ) .8th grader on the mound with freshman and 7th and 8th graders . I believe the kid throwing for Ryle ia JR (might be a soph ).The future looks pretty good for the Tigers .

Was Ryle caught looking ahead with Cov Cath today ??

And I too stated my opinion . I think Farris is a great player ,Seeing him more last year than this though .I have only seen him play 4 times this year .When the voting comes out I do believe it will be close .As stated above in another post it could be between 4-5 kids .With so many players to get votes it could hurt one or the other .HAVE A NICE DAY !! :D

Beechwood has 2 8th graders a frosh and 3 sophs who have split time between jv and varsity . The 3 sophs have come down to play the first 2 games of the tourney but in different positions . 1 soph did pitch an innning the first game ( where he has only played at varsity ) .No jrs will come down . They only have 1 senior anyway .They have to keep the jrs there for the varsity game today . Beechwoods l/u will probably be 2 or 3 sophs , 4 - 5 frosh and 2 8th graders .This is what has got them this far . 1 of the 8th graders will probably be on the mound .

You need to get out more .There is alot of baseball out side of Florence .To say hands down you have not seen enough .

Beechwood got the 1 seed in the blind draw for the district .The draw was made this afternoon .That puts Holy Cross vs Cov Cath and B'WOOD VS Holmes.THis is what I am hearing ,as of now .
