  1. In 25 years UConn is about to win their 6th title. In that same span they have missed the Tournament 8 times. Went out in the first round 3 times and in the second round 4 times. The way most blue bloods would look at it, they've been a failure in 15 of 25 seasons. By the same measure any school would be considered a blue blood if they averaged a championship once every four years as UConn has. UConn's success has been feast or famine, when it's bad it's really bad but when it's good it's been great.
  2. Well that sucked! Gave up 3 in the 9th to lose 7-6...jeez.
  3. Super may not have received a favorable recommendation from search committee 10 years ago, due to issues that led to him being pulled out of the school he was in and move to bus garage to run transportation. If half the stuff I've heard is true, he is just a vindictive little creep, that doesn't like being told no.
  4. Are there still a lot of schools without them? I thought nearly everyone had them, but I don't get around the state much.
  5. A lot of noise about this possible hire.
  6. 31,000 cars a day cross the FSK Bridge, all of that traffic will now be forced to use one of two tunnels. Side note, Thank God this didn't happen during rush hour when the bridge was loaded with commuters.
  7. Looks like ship was in distress, losing power off and on and huge amount of smoke coming from it prior to hitting the bridge.
  8. UK also had a stretch where they were unable to score in transition 5 or 6 times on fast breaks with the numbers advantage. Finishing was an issue all year.
  9. No one ever said, they parted ways and at the time his family seemed to be shocked and angry on Twitter.
  10. If Cal returns, my #1 suggestion would be to bring back John Robic. Apologize to him, do whatever it takes to bond that bridge so to speak and get Robic back.
  11. NIL is great and horrible for both the players and the game at the same time. I got into an argument with a good friend a few days ago. He keeps saying that NIL needs limits or to be controlled, but legally there is no way to do it. I don't think any rules or laws brought up, would hold up in court. The market at some point will correct itself and the crazy money will drop, but from now on players will be bought by "boosters" and there is no way to stop it that I can see.
  12. Has Somerset added an Offensive or Defensive Coordinator for next season?
  13. Low key drive for Will Wade on Twitter tonight. I don't think Louisville is that far down the list yet to go after Wade.
  14. This is my off season wish list for each players game. Wagner- Work lateral quickness and becoming a lock down defender. Go to your right all summer. Sheppard- Work on lateral quickness and 1 on 1 defense. Get a killer instinct to bury the opponent. Z- Handling passes into the post cleanly, finishing stong at the basket, defensive rotations and not to reach on defense. Bradshaw- (See Z) plus work on verticle and getting off of the floor. Theiro- Work on man to man to lock down opponents best 3/4 get confidence in Jumper. Ugo- Model interior game after Edy become a bucket or free throw every time you touch the ball inside of 8 feet. Burks- Jumper and defense. Hart- Become knock down shooter that can stretch the defense. Shoot 500, 800, 1000 jumpers a day. Edwards- Taking man off of the dribble and becoming so confident in his shot that nothing can shake him. This guy can be a killer, if he finally believes that he can be. Travis Perry- Be ready to shoot, Work on quick consistent release all summer. Cal- Get back to demanding defense. Next years team will not be a great shooting team, so defense will mean the difference between winning and losing in the big games. Biggest issue on this team is they still don't have the guy that can get a bucket or get fouled when we have to have points. That was supposed to be Wagner and Edwards, so hopefully they can develop into that. If Sheppard, Bradshaw, Z, Edwards and Wagner all leave, then get two shooters, one bucket getter and a great defender.
  15. I completely agree. I think either publicly or not, a decision will be made that next year is it. If he wants to go out on top or redeemed, he'll have one more shot to do it.
  16. Did he turn down more money from Louisville? I have to think they would have paid more.
  17. He's 65, might want to kick it on the Jersey shore a bit more at this time in his life.
  18. Just read this is the first year that Cal can opt into his retirement gig with UK paying $1,000,000 a year to be a special assistant to the AD. He has until April 15 to opt in to this position each year.
  19. The two of them going 7 of 22 tonight after hitting 13 in the game against Kentucky, was the most predictable outcome imaginable.
  20. I know he was a student manager at IU, but why leave Michigan for IU? Has he talked about it being his dream job or do people just assume he'd go since he went to IU?
