  1. I believe your facts are straight for the running up the score, but Clark did not start @ 2nd the 1st game I believe it was Josh McPherson. Dont know why Clark wasnt playing but who knows, they are young and the coach could've been trying something new, and obviously didnt work.
  2. The final stat line for the game was 30 R, 14 H, 7BB, 6 HPB, and 9 E. That is a total of 22 runners that got on and score via Frankfort letting them on with out trouble. You are right in the fact that FHS gave up, they have most of the year from the games that I have seen them play. They only have 1 senior pitcher and he isnt their best, their best is an 8th grader whom they did start the game with and then he also started against WHS the next day but was yanked because the threw his helmet down on the ground which was the right call by the head coach at FHS. Teach those boys some respect for the game and equipment!:madman: :madman: :madman: I hate it when kids throw crap, and especially when they just didnt try hard!
  3. Yeah, that seems to be the trend this year for them. Its like the give up or something, never seen a team like this before. I went and watched them over their spring break and it was so wierd, they would play well for the 1st or 2nd innings of the game and then just go soft like they have no killer instinct. very very odd imo.
  4. so is what you are tellin me is that I am a fat man that knows pitching instead of a fat man that knows the game.
  5. what is that reference reffered too? I didnt know that I was compared to any of them:)
  6. 1. Yes, E-2, samething happend to A-Rod in the 1st inning of 1st game of season. dropped a foul ball then the runner got on base, error on Arod and Single for whoever was hitting. 2. All runs are unearned because a "routine" out should have been made to end the inning. After any error with two outs where the play is "routine" then all runs following that error are deemed unearned.
  7. Man it sure sounds like someone knows their OWN stats. Not sure but arent there 9 guys on the field at once? I think I am right and if I am them how do you spell that word, oh whats it called...... oh yeah, TEAM.
  8. Looks like that young squad actually came out and hit, pitched and fielded the baseball for the first time this year. Hopefully they can continue on an upward climb and keep producing wins.
  9. Just heard Frankfort and Burgin are still on for noon. and as for my earlier post I meant 32 and below. i apologize.
  10. What teams are still going to play tomorrow despite the predicted 32 below temps?
  11. Not real sure about the talent lost but from what I have heard they are going to be very young and talented. Not sure how much better they will be but I just have a feeling they are going to be better than last year. But they went 5-22 last year I do believe, so it wont take much to improve off that. BSHS is probablly favored as they should be but FHS went 5-22 last year and BSHS went 7-21 so who knows what direction this game will take.
  12. This one should be a close one as both teams didnt do very well last year but they both have been decent winners in the past. Hopefully they both do well this year. Any other thoughts on this one? I say FHS wins by 2.
  13. Frankfort has: Danville #13 Harrison Co. #14 Tates Creek #18 Henderson Co. #25 Oldham Co. #26 Franklin-Simpson #32 Franklin Co. #38 Glasgow #40 not bad if you go by the preseason rankings
  14. I thought that Ben Revere of Lex. Cath. and Rich Witten of Danville were both voted 1st team not 2nd? It could be wrong though. http://www.amnews.com/public_html/?module=displaystory&story_id=29591&edition_id=1115&format=html
  15. Well I dont know if you know from Past seasons or even last seasone but the best team based on last year would have to be Danville. Now as for TC and Glasgow, the both will be tough teams but FHS also plays, Franklin-Simpson, Franklin County, Woodford Co, Henderson Co., Danville, and Harrison Co. That is more than their fair share of tough games. And for the rest of those teams, dont ever underestimate them because your team only wont 5 last year.
  16. Glad I could bore you with facts. But it doesnt say what time frame nor does is specify this year anywhere. Must have made that up during a period you doze off from my facts. I think that answers all your questions. And even though no game has been played, history does seem to repeat itslef in the 10th as well as the 12th. The only difference in the 12th is that they cant get past sectionals.
  17. sounds good, but just give them time. There is still a month to go before your alls first game. A lot can happen between now and then. Also make sure since you are a senior and you have no juniors that you make sure that you and your other seniors this year prepare those kids for the future! They are young and impressionable! Be a leader and Voice your opinions if you have to to get them to learn and listen! Good luck and congrats.
  18. Oh yeah I forgot about all those regional titles that Harrison hasnt won, my bad! Like KY_THorobred, this isnt just about this year this is about overall and 10th has no chance at competeing with the 11th but the 10th region is overated as well. 1998 - Harrison Co. 1999 - Harrison Co. 2000 - Nicholas Co. 2001 - Harrison Co. 2002 - GRC 2003 - GRC 2004 - Harrison Co. 2005 - Harrison Co. 2006 - Harrison Co.
  19. Well that sounds like you are kind of down on your team. I mean you say that you have young talent but then you say they need tons of improvment? Those two contradict one another. As for playing in the offseason that doesnt really hold a ton of importance as in the past majority of FHS's players have been athletes of all sports. So it would be kind of hard to play summer baseball. And any time you have young talent the situation is good.
  20. ^and by the way I am just a fan of the game. What can you tell us about the situation there? Do you start for them, if so, what pos?
  21. 11th region by far. I mean you look at the teams in the top and then even their worst teams in the region arent horrible. Now for the most over rated region I would have to go with either the 10th or the 12th. I know you have Harrison in the 10th but who else can really compete with them.
  22. I dont really know about 15, but who knows it could be possible. I dont know much about the new coach they have but maybe he can turn things around for them. They never really showed much last year either, so we will see.....good luck.
  23. Next week is going to be a great week for baseball. Get outside for hours! BASEBALL YEAH!
  24. They both have been very good so far, no complaints......yet! just kidding!
