  1. I was wondering that myself.
  2. Westsider, I am truly being sincere here and not disagreeing with your above statement... other than Highlands, CovCath, and Bowling Green who do you consider to be a top 10 team in 3A?
  3. I think it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth xyience... hopefully this year it will be different for us Eagle supporter's. We just need to forget about last year and get ready for Friday night. GO EAGLES!!!
  4. Well good luck this Friday with Fairview... you need to come down sometime and catch a game, espically if we get the new sports complex that they have been saying we are going to get for next year. :thumb:
  5. I agree with you... it's all in good fun.
  6. You're right they aren't running their mouths about the game... the only post from Ashland fans on here have been about mud cleats and the selling of wide-right T-shirts. Even though the shirts weren't brought up in this thread. So they are saying stuff just not about what they should be talking about, the game.
  7. I am a huge JC fan and supporter... but even I don't think JC should be ranked above the big 3 (Highlands, CovCath, BG). As for the other schools mentioned I don't know very much about them so I can't speculate on those teams. With that being said I think there are 3 teams that is head and shoulders above the rest of the field... Highlands, CovCath, BG.
  8. I think unless Bowling Green loses or they have a really bad showing they should stay in the #1 spot. I just think it would be unfair if they fell without losing or having a really bad game.
  9. And if you read some earlier post I think you will see that it has been pointed out that Ashland is by far the best team they will have faced this season. :thumb:
  10. I know what you mean... it's very hard to do sometimes.:thumb:
  11. You are right about that, the kicking game has really improved espically on kickoff's. Barrett has done a great job of kicking the ball deep on kickoff's.
  12. I have the upmost respect for Ashland's players, coaches, etc. as do most of the people that post on this board. Just sometimes the excitment of a big game and the season the Eagles are having tends to blind some of us Eagle supporters, and I am as guilty as the rest. With that said I think we all respect the Tomcats and we know how good of a football team they really are... we are just a little biased toward the Eagles.
  13. I am pretty good at picking numbers.
  14. I don't think anyone in Johnson Co. or the state is dumb enough to believe the JC isn't going to take Ashland serious. They are by far the best team we have played or will play in the regular season and a lot of people have been waiting a year for this game. If Ashland does beat JC it won't be because they aren't taking them seriously.
  15. Yeah any mention of the word "field goal" usually catches the attention of us Eagle fans.
  16. Got to have a sense of humor!
  17. I can guarantee you that they won't hold Central to 6 points. And I think a lot of people will see eye to eye with us on that Dark Horse!!!
  18. I agree with you totally... Highlands is a top notch football program and they could score 100 points on ALOT of teams if they wanted to. Don't worry about earlier no harm was done, I understand why it would get frustrating if a lot of people accused Highlands of running it up. :thumb:
  19. Ashland may very well come down and beat the Eagles at home... but I would bet the farm on it that they don't beat them by 3 touchdowns.
  20. I wasn't whinning or crying, this is actually the first I have ever heard about this happening, I don't keep up with NKY football that much... I was just asking a simple question. Sorry if it rubbed ya the wrong way.
  21. Thanks for clearing that up for me JC20fan. Yea, hopefully the new sports complex will take care of this little problem. :thumb:
  22. That would be a good idea. Another idea JC might want to consider is having some sort of temporary bleachers brought in for this game. I believe for this game we could fill the whole bleachers with just JC fans, with temporary bleachers that would give JC fans more places to sit along with giving the Ashland fans more seating. I have heard this brought up a couple of times for games such as the Apple Bowl, I wonder if they would ever do that for a game of this magnitude.
  23. I agree with you on that... JC defense is much approved form last years and the defense last year was nothing to complain about. If the Eagles come out and handle business the way they can they should come out with a win.:thumb:
