I wouldn’t think that this would be unique to the 8th region.

This isn't simply illness. It is highly contagious. Several school districts have had to cancel school. If multiple players have it, they can be passing it on to others before they are even aware that they are sick. Kudos to Gallatin County for being proactive and attempting to prevent the continuance of spreading the germs.

We have a rivalry game at our school tonight. At the end of the school day, our principal addressed the students over the intercom, reminding them of our expectations for them as fans. She has done this on more than one occasion. I'm not sure how/if she addresses it with parents.

This happens in some places, but I don't think it is as widespread as it might appear. I am in my 24th year of teaching. That has been in two schools and with six principals. Never once has a principal not "had my back" with disrespectful students.

As a moderator of this board, I make sure dialogue stays open and on topic or threads get shut down. That’s the majority of my interest in this thread. I see see both sides of the 2 vs. 3 referee argument. I know that it’s challenging for smaller schools to pay the cost, but I also feel that officiating (rules being followed) is better with three officials. I believe that most officials want to do a good job and try their best. And man, do they have a hard job! I couldn’t do it, that’s for sure.

No one said that you said everyone was a referee. What you actually said is very clearly quoted in my post.

Just because people disagree with you doesn’t make them referees. This board is about discussion, not about only allowing agreement.
