Corbin Football
They may not have been quite as talented as some of these teams mentioned, but the 2001 (maybe 2002) team had a lot of talent and made an early exit in the playoffs. BJ Foley, Bram Hoover, Stephen Cook, Matt Williams, Derrick Marlow, Levi Skeen and Jarrod Lawson were some of the players that I can remember. I also believe that was the group that went like 32-0 or something like that all through middle school, with the exception of Jarrod.

Corbin vs. Pulaski Co.?
im afraid Middlesboro may still be a little ticked off about what corbin did to them two years ago on their homefield. Corbin's JV did not have a field goal unit and I believe the Middlesboro coaching staff and fans thought Corbin was trying to run up the score which wasnt the case. sorry, i know this doesnt pertain to the thread.

If there is one thing that I agreed with regarding the article that was written in the paper not long ago is that coaches must adjust their schemes to their players. If corbin tried to line up and "smash" people in the mouth this year or last im afraid we would not even have won as many games as we have or will this season. And just so everyone knows, I still think the rest of the article in the paper was ignorant and served no purpose except to embarass the son of the man who wrote it.

you are correct, but which area team goes the furthest in the playoffs almost every year? When is the last time any of those teams went to a state championship game or a semi-state game? That is when winning really counts.

Corbin losing to W'burg was a fluke. Corbin played the worst game of football they played that whole season and W'burg played the best game they played all season and the game was still so very close.

At least the coaches are trying to be with the times....i give them props for trying to open up the play book now but im not so sure they know exactly how to coach that kind of football.

just quoting coach farris from that years banquet, by the way, this is 2a football, one player can make a huge difference, when a player is going both ways with a lot of offensive plays centered around them as well as a defensive back on a team that is short on defensive backs playing a team that passes 80% of the time one player can make a huge difference.

I was trying to quote mr fundamental earlier when i posted about when was corbins last state championship, (sorry im kinda new to this) i was trying to make the point that they would have had a REAL chance to win the state championship a couple of years ago if Issac Mills hadn't gotten injured against O'Cath, thats just my opinion though.

Corbin vs. Bell County
Don't think corbin will be able to pull off a win in this one, bell- 21 corbin-7

Point Three: When was the last time Corbin won a state championship? If that is what you measure great teams with! If i remember correctly, if Issac Mills hadn't of gone down two years ago against owensboro with the knee, Corbin more than likely would have won the state championship that year
