  1. Cortez was the lone senior for the squad. Will be interesting to see how the New Head Coach (Here we go again) Brian Johnson gets this team to play. Clemons is a Junior Zak Metz a Soph If the Cats can find somone to fill the five spot and move Razor out of the middle to the 4 with Metz at the 3 Clemons at 2 and most likely Aaron Roberts Soph at point they should suprise.
  2. What is everyone thinking about this one? Is Morgan poised for the Cat Fight in Owingsville or will they lay down for a belly scratching?
  3. More complete stats from the Bath County Lewis County game last Friday night. The offense was lead by running back Wayne Stevens as he had 156 yards on 20 carries with two touchdowns, 3 receptions for 72 yards and 13 punt return yards for 241 total offensive yards. Zak Metz was 5 of 8 passing for 83 yards and carried the ball 7 times for 19 yards with 1 score. Josh Denkins was the top tackler of the night with 11. Cody Armitage picked up 9 tackles and Eddie Lucas had 8. Shandy Karrick recovered a fumble and picked up 6 tackles while Blandon Clemons intercepted a pass. Ethan Fryman had 3 tackles and one sack for a 14 yard loss.
  4. 1966 Hopkinsville defeated Bath County 88-0 the worst loss in school history. This was also the first season of football. The Wildcats went 2-8 that season defeating a Irvine team and Fleming County Then the record was close to being meet in 2003 LCA-Lexington Christian Academy defeated Bath 69-0 in Owingsville. Would have been worse had the clock not been allowed to run during this game. The late 60's 1969 to be exact the Cats had a running back by the name of Frank Jones that set the season Rushing record that still stands today.
  5. Here is hus season rushing stats 30 Hayden, Domonique 2 Games 17 carries 110 yards 0 Tds
  6. West Virginia version of KHSAA http://www.wvssac.org/new_site/wvssac_website/html/index.htm
  7. Wayne Stevens is a great addition to the Bath County Backfield and the secondary on defense. He was slowed during the preseason by a hamstring injury. Has hit the ground running ever since the first tote of the rock. The Football Stadium is complete the grass still needs to come in some more. The scoreboard isn't up as of yet they used a postage stamp for the Lewis County game. The crowd was large and tailgaiting returned to the hill last Friday Night in Owingsville. The biggest suprise isn't Stevens running it has been Blandon Clemons coming over from the basketball team. Worked had in conditioning and has put on some muscle. Has hands and footwork to go along with his speed. What a duo of Stevens and Clemons power and speed at its best. Morgan County comes to Owingsville to take on the 2-0 cats. This might be the first time the Wildcats have opened up the season 2-0 since the Ramey era still working on researching that one.
