  1. McGee is proof you don't have to be quick or be able to jump to score and rebound. He is a bit over-weight but seemed to use it to his advantage. He barely leaves the ground, so his game does not compare to Barkley's in the least. But nevertheless, he had a solid game tonight. Pettigrew was all alone in this game. He was even their press-breaker tonight. He did it all.
  2. Manual moves to 4 - 0. Does anyone have any details on this game???
  3. Manual is 3 - 0??? Wow. Seneca only lost to Louisville Male by 2 and BGP had Manual picked low at #10 in the 7th region. A coaching buddy of mine was saying Jacob Jenkins is having a very solid early year so far and has been leading with 18 ppg per game and is one of top 2 assist leaders. He also mentioned Cosby is coming along strong too. It will be interesting to see if Manual can keep this up and possibly hit the state's Top 25 soon. Not bad for a very young Manual team playing an erly tough schedule.
  4. After one week, you are asking this question? Forget about player rankings and worry about your team winning, if that's important to you.
  5. Showdown??? Scott County vs UHA. This game doesn't even excite most folks. Scott County by as many as they want.
  6. Matt Walls is performing the BEST at this point. Gotta factor in schedules too. Walls is outdoing Mackey at this point.
  7. Couldn't that be said for several other schools and players? Not sure why you would single out Stepp when it does happen elsewhere.
  8. UHA tough matchup for Scott County??? After Caldwell County put the hurt on Hopson and company you would have to assume this game is a big "W" for the Cardinals.
  9. Looks like Male turned it around after losing to DeSales. Heyman only had 2 points in that loss.
  10. This thread is a TRAVESTY. It is not fair to Middleton and certainly not fair to Lofton. Their is no comparison.
  11. Jenkins finished with 26 points and was said to have hit six 3's in a row. Brooks was said to have finished with about 15 points. The stat lines on Jenkins were something of 26 pts, 7 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, and zero turnovers. Turley is already making heads turn.
  12. UHA gets beat by 16 points to Clarksville, TN. Struggled from the onset. You can throw out the rankings now. The season is here.
  13. I can see that happening in the "coming years." Just not this year. Lost too much rebounding.
  14. Maybe Central Hardin is in the mix, but with the James Sykes and his brother Jamarrious Sykes both leaving North Hardin it appears North is left with a huge challenge now.
  15. They played Louisville Manual. Brandon Johnson and Ricky Price were the obvious standouts for John Hardin. JH had a couple of athletic post players at 6'6" and 6'7" that ran the court really well. JH runs a quick pace motion offense and shot a lot of threes. They played very intense man D and were successful against Manual until the end when Jenkins hit a few consective shots to pull it away and Manual outscoring JH by 11 for the game. JH should be balanced with a strong inside and outside game and they have some depth too. I saw E-Town and JH and both look to be headed toward a collision for a regional championship matchup. Just an opinion.
  16. The short answer is: yes. Its them and E-Town and JH has more depth and another guard named Price who looked solid in the preseason game I saw them in.
  17. Let's hear those scores! Rose Hill and Russell were there.
  18. Never seen him have a bad game over the past few summers when he played at our events. But I am guessing he would have a few off games. What players don't? I have made it to see a few of his high school games and he didn't disappoint. Had a big game in a win against Doss in the Lou. Invitiational event. According to the first post it appears Jenkins is on the right track for this year and I hope to get a chance to see him a few more times this winter and I wish him continued success.
  19. This doesn't surprise me. Jenkins has a very high ceiling and had one of the better performances in a tournament this past summer where he put up 41 against one of the top aau programs. I expect him to have a solid year in Kentucky.
  20. John Hardin is extremely quick and they are senior oriented. They pressed using a 2-2-1 full court trap and a full court man-to-man. They play very aggressive man defense on half court sets. They use a quick rotating offense where players are constantly cutting to receive quick passes on the perimeter while looking for their big men inside. Tonight, early on the guards were looking for thier shots and from outside the arc. 5'9" PG Ricky Price and 6'1" CG Brandon Johnson like to shoot the 3's. Price is a very solid passer. The leader is Price but they a pair of 6'6" forwards that played above the rim. In my opinion, after watching E-Town play Covington Catholic and watching John Hardin play Manual, John Hardin has the athletes and depth to win the 5th Region. I guess this bolds well for 7th Region Manual and how well they played.
  21. Doss outlasted Shelby County and won by 5 points. Doss was led by PG Davin Anderson and of course Jeff Brooks. Anderson appeared to lead Doss in scoring with 18 to 20 points and Brooks led Doss in rebounds. Eugene Wade showed promise today actually pulled a double double. I was really impressed with Isreal Chambers. He seems to be coming along well and his offensive game has become stronger in the paint. Last year's 5th Region champs John Hardin lost to Manual by 11 points. Manual got over 20 points from soph Jacob Jenkins with him nailing some big 3's late in the game. John Hardin has some talent and will be led by Brandon Johnson and Ricky Price, both senior guards. Fairdale was a bit too much to start the game and led South Oldham by 22 point at the half and ended up winning by about 14 points. South Oldham was led by Sean Stiles and Chris Lee. Fairdale was led by Clinton Lucas and Reggie Smith.
  22. What happens "if" Jackson and Euton do not live up to the hype? Gotta be tough on them when Rose Hill and their AAU are pushing their names full stern.
  23. If they are that talented, why are they picked 4th in the 16th region which is considered a lowered tiered region??????? Being 4th in this region would leave them out of the top 40 statewide.
