CountryBoy7 replied to Ashland Tomcat 1959's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I think he did play pro ball over seas though. I could be wrong but seems i heard that somewhere. Now he is a assistant coach with the Womens program at Shawnee State university. -

Congratulations to Lacey Cline on a great personal accomplishment, 2000 points is a very hard goal to reach. Couldn't have happened to a better young lady. On the game, nice win for the Lady Royals this was a little tougher task tonight beating a Scrappy, physical, Fleming Co. team. Looks like the Lady Royals have the train rollin right now. -

What does it matter where he goes to College. As long as he gets the best education he can and that also being a FREE education, as long as the School is a good fit for what he wants to do later in life then size dose't matter. could he play at a D-1 school probably, but what ever him and his family feel is the best fit for him Basketball wise and education wise it really dosen't matter to any of us. Remember most all of the College athletes will go Pro in something other then the sport for which they went to school to play. Best of luck to T. Setty and his family no matter where he decides to play college ball.I am sure he will have a very bright future.

Another close game, yet another tough loss for the Lady Bears. The Lady bears fought back from being down 10, and out scored the Lady Eagles 15-9 in the third quarter. Starting the fourth quarter down 1 the game went back and fourth and the Lady Bears could never get the lead. There defense played solid all night holding both of Scotts big girls in check. Brown had 2 and Tibbs had 6. Benzinger had the hot hand tonight for the Lady Eagles knocking down 6 three's and leading all scores with 22. On the offensive end Figgins lead Bracken Co. with 14 and four three's herself followed by Kauinui with 7. The Lady Bears go to Deming on Sat. for a 3:00 game against the Lady Devils. -

Montgomery Co. @ GRC predictions

I would think Mason would have to beat Mc to show they are not #1, Mc winning region past 3 years. They are #1 till someone knocks them off JMO. I will say Mc beats GRC by 15+, and proves they are STILL the best in the 10th region. -

Looks like Coach Florer's pockets will be a little lighter, Coach Florer was donating 10$ for every 3 made by Bracken Co. and Augusta, and Donating it to Bracken Co.'s Relay for life. A very nice gesture on his behalf. Don't know if anyone in the community has told him thanks. But a very kind act for a great cause. Thank You!!!!!!!!!! How many 3's did Augusta have in this game ??? All around a great night for cancer awareness, and High School Basketball. Thanks again Coach Florer. -

Tough Loss for the polar bears. I thought that with the outside shots falling tonight they would pick up the W. Give alot of credit to Augusta, they never quit and got some big rebounds and put backs when they needed them. Besides the game the PINK night went very well and was supported by the whole community nice to see the gym packed on both sides for this game. And alot of pink on both sides as well. Good Job to the Polar Bears and Congratulations to the Panthers, I thought both played very hard tonight. -

I wasnt to far off on picking this blow out. Mason is playing awfully good right now even if thereopponets are not as hard as some would like. They are blowing out whoever they play guess that speaks for itself. -
What were the Cats Pause rankings for the 16th ?? I have not seen them for this year.

Top 10th Region Girl Teams
CountryBoy7 replied to Polar Bear Fan's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I would put Calvery, Augusta, and Deming somewhere on the list. JMO If im not mistaken there are 16 teams in the 10th region. I would think 10-16 could switch by the week through out the season ,all of these teams a pretty close and either could beat the other on any given night. -
Can the Gals keep from losing 1 more and save a losing season, and have another Lewis winning season at 8-8, 1 winning season in 16 years 11-5. I would think that Lewis has to be concerned what has he done in 5 years as the head coach!!!

The first pssesion of the second half kind of dictated the 3rd quarter go 3 and out, then the defense gives up 6. Steelers really needed a good opening drive to start the second half. Give credit to the Pats they did what they had to, even throwing a Steelers trick play at them that went for a TD. Hope the steelers bounce back and start to peak in the next couple of weeks.
