  1. Looks like most agree on one thing, it's going to be a hard fought game on both sides.
  2. This one could be a close one, I look for Boyd to take it though.
  3. Other than the QB they really aren't a young team though. They'll be loosing 19 Seniors I believe is the count (i'm sure someone will correct me if it's wrong). Next year I think will be Evan's challenge with a young team. And with a year under his belt and knowing more what he's got come'n up will be interesting to see what happens then. I think your right too any team going in thinking they got an automatic win is set for troubles. And I don't see the tomcats being that vain as to assume a win, hope for and plan on yea lol, but not already have it under the belt. As for the lions. I am sure they're planning on playing hard and not expecting wins in either of the last two games without alot of effort on their part. One district win doesn't make ya a state champ, as lots of teams have learned in the past. Does give the kids more incentive though.
  4. Was out of town on an emergency all weekend. Had to even miss the game unfortunatly and was out of Dickie's reach on the radio so missed it too. I'm very proud of the boys for their win though, they need some wins to improve their emotional want to in the game and they got just what they needed.
  5. Looks like it's going to be a hot chocolate kinda night for sure! Best thing about the games lately has been the food
  6. It should be a good crowd at the game, Boyd's having a special thing for the kids that did well with last years cats scores so that will bring in some extra people on boyds side.
  7. I gotta go with JC in this one. From the looks of things those boys are going to have a clean slate all season. Good luck to ya JC hope ya finish with an all winning season.
  8. It is a must win for both teams so it should be a good battle. I noticed ALOT of LC at the game last night, even the coach was up here checking out the competition. I'm sure it will help with his defense plans.
  9. Was a much better game last night than it has been lately. Barker was a wild run'n machine as always. Mason likes the spread offense IMO if they'd have stuck with that instead of starting to run the ball in the 4th quarter Boyd would have won. Mason has a good ground team though.
  10. If Mason runs the ball instead of the spread offense they seem to like I think it'll be a close game, they ran the ball very well last night. Spread offense didn't work well for them though.
  11. has anyone noticed the lack of Boyd supporters responses lately or is it just a me thing?
  12. After last night I have to go with Grimm, that boy can run like a deer.
  13. Heck who knows maybe it's Greenup's week for a big old upset. Should be a good game.
  14. Mason's got 4 wins under their belt but I'm not up on their stats or anything anyone else out there know what kinda game they're playing?
  15. Oh and i only saw one of the Miller boys on the field, anyone know what's up with the other?
  16. I agree they didn't play particulary well, but that's been the thing all year. And it will surprise me if they do get another win this season. I mean there were plays last night when the linemen just stood there and let y'all run past them. Evans needs to back up and punt so to speak, in the sense that he needs to regroup and get players lined out where they are strongest. But again I digress, I keep forgetting that's not how it works at Boyd. For one, I feel bad for the kids. It's hard on them going through all the losses and having the parents fighting and at the coaches throat. BTW, that smoke is rough! And that one time the ball bounced then thudded in the mud was too funny. Of course the ref hitting the mud was classic. And have you checked that muddy end of the field to make sure no players are still lost? Good win guys, you're on a run, I believe I will come watch you play Ashland just to see how it goes!
  17. Can't say that I blame you there. From things you see going on at that district I wouldn't put family of mine there either.
  18. If I had a son he'd playing the greatest games on earth, just with someone better than Vince as an influence. Don't know what past you think I need to get over but if Zach's the better qb where's our scores? What's his stats? How many pass completions vs how many fumbles, interceptions and sacks? I said I had nothing against Zach earlier, he's a great athlete, just not a great qb. I do come to the games, support the kids, but their journey thus far in sports at boyd isn't a bright one. People seem to forget, to be an alumni coming back and seeing how the things run around here fires people up. I just wish there were more people not afraid to give their opinions honestly.
