ok, what i'm trying to say and I'll type a little slower this time. 2004 was a better team. CJ was on that team too, just because they didn't make it to state didn't mean they weren't good. They were good, good enough that because of the previous coaching the boys knew what to come onto the field to do and get the job done to get them to the state. It didn't matter what coach walked onto the field last year. Those boys were primed and ready and statebound. The new staff got way too much credit for the 2005 team going to state is what I'm saying.

Exactly my point, Your saying the team the year before the new staff was better......that means CJ and last years varsity team was coached by that old staff.....the new staff walked into a good team last year. They didn't get them as good as they were......that team was already there waiting for them.

Dang that explains alot. Cause I could have swore I was in Lexington watching them play. And CJ got that grand slam. But since you didn't realize they went to state that definately explains your view point on coaching.

Your right there they'd rather pluck a weed that averages 3-4 errors a game as get a fresh face that knows the game. The weed of choice out there is those money trees!

The BC coaches there now inhereted the team last year. They aren't the ones that coached those boys to Varsity level. So it'll be a few years till those coaches can say they coached an entire team to anything. They lucked out and walked into a great team with alot of gumption and want to. That's what got them to state last year, this year hopefully the PLAYERS will step up and take care of business like they used to, cause those boys should still remember what it felt like and want that feeling again as a team. Not because new coaches are there get'n credit for what those boys already knew. Half the mom's out there last year could've coached that team to state. Cause those were some awesome young men. And those young men are being cheated when someone tells them they're washed up after all the years invested. :ylsuper:

Whoever gets it I just hope and pray they get involved in the middle school level and straighten that up or there won't be enough ball players to bother with a high school ball team.

Maybe its about time people did hear about what goes on at BC instead of just thinking they've got this perfect ball club where the grass is always green. You want the truth I'm gonna give it.

Well for one thing, I've told those boys that were put down, to not give in and to come back and show those coaches just what ball playing is. Everyone seems to look at one game and say wow that kid did good that day. But look at overall stats. Look who had the most errors per game vs the good plays and the good at bats. Total it up and explain why the ones with the worst stats get pushed up to Varsity after the end of JV season. You don't build a championship ball club by showing favortism to players with errors EVERY game and leaving behind the ones that make the plays.

Thanks I'm glad to see some people out there do understand what's going on and that changes need made. I was beginning to think there were laws against disagree'n with coaches.

I'm guessing BGP is here to just voice good opinions? People can't take honest feelings about sports here or what? And are there just a few who actually know sports (in their own opinions)? RedBlood didn't mean to step on your toes and make you so defensive.......

Yes i've told the parents to get on here and start voice'n their opinions but they're too worried everyone will know who they are. I've told em all if they can call me up and complain they can get on here and do it too. As for what one of the cut boys told the younger ones I don't know. I do know it's not the boy I was talking about. This boy was there every game, every practice and worked his buns off for the coaches. He wasn't a slacker or whiner he was hard at it all the time. I was given the names of two more sophmores that were told find other sports. And unfortunately I do feel like president of the complaint comittee most days, it's hard being liked at times.

Seems like that Boyd is still making cuts. Parents from tonights meeting are calling with complaints. I've told them all to get on here and let it be known since no one seems to believe me.

I don't see them turning down Evans and going outside but who knows. The wait'n and guess'n is going to bring everyone out of the woodwork with a viewpoint.

It wasn't problem kids is the thing. If it were I'd understand it.

It looks like the Daily Independent made the announcement today. Damron leaving Boyd By RICK GREENE — The Independent Dane Damron has resigned as Boyd County’s football coach and is poised to become Kentucky Christian University’s first football coach. But further down it says KCU hasn't made a final decission as to hiring him and they are still taking applications through today?

Oh trust me I voice it everywhere I go. And what happened to that one boy is facts, I've verified those too. But when I look at players I go for overall not just one game. Check your error stats on some of those that the coaches say they have plans for. The long haul is what matters there not one game's stats.

This goes back to what we were saying in other posts about how fast kids can change and improve in playing ball. Seems like Racelands kids have been eating their wheaties!

Oh trust me every Saturday I'm somewhere give'n time and support to alot of different sports. Your right though, I see it too, everyone wants to complain but they don't want to step up to make corrections.

What i don't understand is why none of the powers that be see the changes going on at the jfl and middle school level. It would just be nice to see BC's football program build a good rep. starting at the lower levels and building. Whoever does get head coach hopefully will take into consideration what's going on down there.

was our head coach now one of the assistant coaches then MBWC? Would make sense where the remark came from.

yea some kids they're doing it to for just one error or strike out.... others 5 errors a game gets em a pat on the back and top billing. go figure.

I do admire that! Where there's smoke there's fire, just sometimes we gotta wait for those hot coals to break loose and burn! (personall I hate wait'n!)
