Highlands/Lex. Catholic predictions
To whom would you compare Trotwood to scorewise vs Ky teams other than Highlands? The Althoff team LexCath beat had 4 D-1 players supposedly but they weren't competitive. I'm not discounting Trotwood, it's just these out of state games don't lend themselves to comparisons with Ky teams like instate games do. Highlands has played one game against a non-Cincy area team, Hopkinsville, who is having a sub-par year. I know Highlands is an excellent team, they always are, but none of their Ky opponents have very good records. LexCath lost badly to St. X and won impressively against Scott County. Both these teams would beat any of the teams Highlands played except MAYBE Trotwood.

Highlands/Lex. Catholic predictions
Have you seen Highlands? They have won handily I know but none of their wins have been against a team as strong as LexCath I don't think. I exclude Trotwood which apparently is their best win but they are an Ohio team and there is no basis for comparison. Also LexCath has improved on run defense against everyone not named Finch.

So is Highlands that dominate a team? How will they dominate?

Highlands/Lex. Catholic predictions
I'm sure Highlands has some very good players, but so did St. X. Deuce Finch was an exceptional athlete who busted tackles and outran our secondary. He reminds me of Derrick Locke at UK. Highlands will offer a different challenge with its muti-faceted attack but unless they have a superman like Finch, LexCath can probably contend. This LexCath team isn't as quick as years past but has more size and is better balanced offensively and defensively.

Highlands/Lex. Catholic predictions
Unless Highlands has a Deuce Finch in their backfield, I think LexCath can pull the upset.

LexCath 18 Boyle Co 14
It's a given that Boyle will make a run for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs until they meet Catholic again. Nothing has changed since the beginning of the year when Boyle was picked as the team most likely to derail Catholic from the playoffs. On the other hand, Catholic has a tremendous upside if they can cut down on their penalties. Both teams enter into the easy part of their schedules now and will have a chance to fine tune their offenses. Both teams have played strong schedules to this point but will have to guard against losing their edge during the next few weeks. Good luck to both.

Lexington Catholic at Boyle County Predictions
Boyle County has been competitive in their losses and LexCath hasn't looked that good since the loss of Israel. Boyle County has the home field and could turn their season around with a win. I think they will win out after this weekend. LexCath wins 36-21.

I think you are correct. I got Pikeville and Prestonsburg confused. LexCath beat P'burg in 2003.

Pikeville vs. Lexington Catholic predictions
I like the buzz you are giving this game. You will be catching LexCath at a down time and possibly without their star back. The LexCath offense isn't close to where it was the last time these two played. On the other hand the defense is better and there is more size but less overall speed. I think LexCath will wear the Panthers down eventually but it may be an interesting game for a half or so.
