  1. Oh ok someone is text messageing me the score as well.
  2. ICN6 is showing the Breds up 31-7 at halftime. Wow
  3. Eagleye thanks for text messageing me when the game starts.
  4. How do you remember all of this?? I thought you were a Dixie fan?? Are you a Cov Cath fan in hiding??? :sssh:
  5. I guess you have to have played there to really understand the tradtion of Beechwood football. Granted those guys might not have started last year but they did play on Special teams and they were part of the team that beat Danville in the finals. Yeagle loves his senior players. He knows most of these guys never did play that much that is why they will probably give it their all. Question for you Bluto how many of Yeagle's players varsity experience before they were State Champs?? I would say hardly none of them because he plays a lot of Seniors unless you are a very good athlete. Big Deal the Tigers lost 21 seniors last year. Tradition never graduates. Tradition is when you have kids in the 1st and 2nd grade wearing Beechwood jerseys wanting to be a Tiger one day. You don't know what Hunger is until you play for a coach like Yeagle.
  6. Cov Cath was loaded that year. I don't remember the score of the first game between these two teams but I know it was raining and Cov Cath won. There were 2 Wrs for Cov Cath who were twin brothers. I can't remember their names but one of them caught a 98 yard touchdown pass from Adam McCormick. I thought Cov Cath won state after beating Moeller and Highlands. I heard some Cov Cath fans were booking their hotel in Bell County. If you remember Cov Cath beat a great Beechwood team 53-9. That was our only loss of the season. That was how good this team was.
  7. I don't know I would have to say both. New Cath was the top team up here that year after they beat us in the regular season. We won 15-6 in the playoffs. Actually I think that was the game that Beechwood started their dominateion or however you spell it over New Cath until the 2000's.
  8. Has Caldwell done anything since then???
  9. I would also say the 93 Beechwood team. We were 2-3 after we lost to New Cath. We weren't even ranked in the top ten in the AP Poll at the start of the playoffs. We got our revenge on New Cath in the playoffs. Wwe then beat Pikeville and Bardstown for the title. Bardstown was undefeated and ranked #1 in Class A all year long.
  10. Rat without a doubt one team was your 96 Beechwood team. I remember watching Harrodsburg come on the field. They were huge they looked like a 4a team. I didn't think you guys had a chance. But like everyone knows Beechwood won 21-14 in overtime.
  11. One other thing these Beechwood seniors know what it feels like to win the big one. If someone does beats them will have to play a great game.
  12. So is anyone who is going to the game going to text message me with updates???
  13. Yeagle and his coaching staff knows this play very well since we ran it during the 94 state title run a lot.
  14. Since I won't be able to make the trip are they any Beechwood fans on here making the trip?? If they are is it possible for you to text message on each score??
  15. I can give some Beechwood New Cath scores starting from 91 or least come close to them. 91 Beechwood 40-8, Playoffs Beechwood 26-0. 92 Beechwood 12-8, Playoffs Beechwood 42-7 93 New Cath won I don't remember the score, Playoffs Beechwood 15-8. 94 Beechwood 40-7, Didn't meet in the playoffs
  16. I know I saw where both Alter and Newark Cath both made the playoffs but who did they beat. I was looking in the Cincy Enquiror and they had all six classes in Ohio. I got tired of looking at it to see if these 2 teams made the playoffs with all of the teams in Ohio making it. I can see why they do the Harbin ratings with so many teams up there.
  17. He won the MVP in baseball but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is football not baseball. If Beechwood can get pressure on him I would say they have a very good chance of winning this game.
  18. The way it is going now and people telling me that LCA won't be in Class A in 5 years. I remember back in 96 Beechwood played Lex Cath. They were in Class A then. I don't know the timetable on this one but I would say within 4 years they were a 3A team. I might be wrong on this one but I know I have to be pretty close on this one.
  19. I want someone to give me the defination of Peaking or their playing their best football of the season right now. The reason I say this because in every thread someone has said a certain team is playing their best right now. Granted I really do know what it means because I did play a while ago. I used to use this a lot as well. Just because your playing your best or peaking right doesn't gurantee wins this time of year.
  20. If your talking about the guy from 1990. His name was Scott Russell. Brett Colemen was a great back from Pikeville who I played against. Pikeville had many great backs but he was one of the best.
  21. In a way I agree with you and then I don't expect for the last part. LCA does have something to lose. Beat one of the best Class A programs in the state and go farther and they have ever been. If Beechwood doesn't come out to play I will be surprised since it is playoff time. This could be very dangerous for LCA.
  22. Did I say that no?? I didn't say they weren't trying at all. You can roll your eyes at me all you want I don't think Bellevue is that good of a team.
  23. They did beat them but if they get a chance to play again next week that won't happen.
