  1. Win the week before by X or not. X is still X and Manual will have to come to play to pull out a win. I don't do predictions but I believe it will be a good one.
  2. Looked at the lights Friday night. They aren't out. They are all working. The problem is that they are outdated. Please know that the boosters and football staff have done all they can do to get them replaced. The board has been promising for MANY years that it will be done. As for the carpet in the locker room, it is the square pieces and if they get overly dirty, they can be replaced.
  3. Why the distinction of the time of the quarters?
  4. Practicing kicks at Manual Stadium calls for extra rent payments.
  5. Both QB's freshmen and alot of the kids playing on the d-line and linebacker spots are freshmen.
  6. I thought this thread was about the Manual-Eastern game not about what kids are playing from Manual that come from the catholic schools.
  7. I never said I thought they belonged in the Top 10. I do understand how it could happen though. Manual actually hasn't been slouches these past years. Freshman and JV games against those teams in the rankings above Manual have been very competitive and if I'm not mistaken the Crimsons have won a few.
  8. It is a coaches poll. So you'll have to ask the coaches that voted why they voted that way. I guess for them to vote that way is a confirmation that Region two, District four is the toughest district in the state. St X is replacing the exact same number of starters that Manual is. So I guess the presumption is that Manual's talent pales in comparison to that of St X or are they rated that high because they are X.
  9. Indiana actually draws to see who you will play. You can have a great record and play another team with a great record. You also aren't guranteed to play at home. If I'm not mistaken, they draw for that also. You can have a good regular season and have to travel to a team that won 2 games. I like the idea of seeding kind of like the NCAA tournament. Higher seed stays at home.
  10. Actually Tony driver was "adopted" by someone here in Louisville and that is how he ended up at Male. His brother played his first year at Male then went back home to Glasgow. You all might be correct that a kid from another county in KY could come to a public school and pay tuition. However, that kid would not have the option of applying for "financial aid" like the parochial schools. With that being said, I guess the public school principals should get together and start actively start recruiting kids outside of the county. Then set up a way that these same kids could get financial aid. Then the playing field would be level. I don't think that will ever happen. So what do the coaches and kids that work so hard do when they still have to play you guys?
  11. How is it a terrible argument? Is there no validity to the public schools not being able to compete with kids from outside Jefferson County? I think BR90 was just making a valid point. I still don't understand how you people can continue to say that it is right for players to come from other counties and states to T and X and public schools HAVE to play those schools with kids from ONE county. However, we will never agree on it so I guess we will just have to agree to disagree and live happily ever after.
  12. If that is true about Coverdale. That is cool. I would actually start half-way start liking Trinity then.
  13. I will shed some light on how this thing of 8th graders working out/playing at a high school in Jefferson County. If a kid is attending a middle school that feeds into that high school then they can play for that team as an eighth grader. That is the reason for 8th grade kids at JCTMS playing for Male teams. That leaves out Manual, Central and Brown. Those schools have no defined districts or feeder middle schools. Now there have been times when a kids has been accepted by one of these schools but continue to be pursued by one of the Parochial schools and invite the kid to their school to participate in workouts prior to the end of his 8th grade school year. These kids then have the opportunity to build a relationship with players and coaches and ultimately end up changing their mind and attend those schools.
  14. I would make a comment about T having a kid from outside Jefferson County. However, it would probably get me banned AGAIN so I will leave it alone.
  15. Didn't mean to get all you T and X fans all in an uproar. Just asking a question. I'd also in be interested in knowing how the 8th grade kids are progressing for their new teams.
  16. How are 8th graders able to start lifiting at these schools before the end of their school year? I know in Jefferson County although students have been "accepted" to a particular school they still can't be involved in any activities until their 8th grade year ends. How is this FAIR that these schools or any private school is able to do this? Just asking.
  17. You must not know what kind of family this kid comes from. They are football to the core. His Dad is "Jelly" Green. Who from what I understand was one of the best football players ever to grace the fields in Louisville. His brother is Marcus Green starting DT at The Ohio State Universtiy. I doubt very seriously that they would consider not playing. If the docs say its ok, I can't see them doing anything different.
  18. SPIN,SPIN,SPIN,SPIN,SPIN away. Why is it that you people NEVER do anything wrong? Oh, I forgot you all are the schiznit and can't do any wrong.
  19. As a Sophomore on a SR ladden team at his position, he probably wouldn't have played that much if any. So, no that is not a reason.
  20. With that said. I'll not PM anyone. Even if I could say how all this went down. It would all be spinned as usual. You all (Trinity supporters) find out how this WHOLE thing went down and then PM me. I'll verify or refute the story.
  21. That is where you ALL are wrong. I KNOW the situation VERY well and know the circumstances as to why he left the first time and why and HOW he happened to make it back this time. I also KNOW ALL of how he ended up at Trinity in the first place.
