I remember your first posts and respect your thoughts. However, when all the talking and "discussion" is over with...at the end of the day it is about high school kids busting their tails for months....I don't care what program they are from or what their enrollment numbers are, or what their win/loss record is....they don't deserve to think that what they worked so hard for was .."nothing special" or tainted in any way. Let 'em play. If you don't like it...root for another team. Just don't try to take away from these kids.

Agreed.... Just don't pass judgement on a program because of some obnoxious fans who don't know how to win with class. They are a minority.

Never have...check my posts. We have way too many overexcited fans, they irritate me also. But that doesn't give anyone an excuse to diminish what a group of kids has accomplished.

Your point is understood. But being a realist you understand that there is NOTHING Mercer or Western can do about it. CONSTANTLY bringing it up for discussion is pointless unless you are trying to diminish the accomplishments of both. That is what this post is about. That's as REAL as it gets.

For those of you who live in a trailer.....his name is titletownclown!!!! :D But, I do get your point. With that many folks, there were bound to be a few knuckleheads. These particular kids just got past our pedigree checkpoint. :lol:

FACT is ....that people need to post enrollment numbers to justify another teams success. Quit your sniffling and play football. FACT is...Mercer was a legitimate contender last year. Oh and almost forgot...we're enjoying just fine. We've got an open date next year, talk to your administration....we can probably work it out.

Well I can answer the first part of that question....it definitely wasn't agreed upon. However, let's cut Boyle some slack. Without a home game to now, a change of uniforms was probably a welcome change of pace for their kids. Not really that big a deal.

Boyle is fine....this early season has been a baptism by fire. They will be better for it at the end of the year. My only question (from the outside looking in) is if Boyle's staff is guilty of sacrificing this year for the sake of the future. Changing personnel in key positions may have cost them a game (or two) this year. BUT, that being said, the kids they have in postion now will make a typical Boyle Co. deep run into the playoffs. 1-4 is not indicative of their team.
