  1. Depending on how much Highlands runs him, Jordan Kramer could be a serious contender as we saw towards the end of last season.
  2. I agree with everything except the wide reciever spot. I think that is going to be a big question mark for the birds in the upcoming season. Other than the two tights, I am not sure if I can say that is one of the strengths this year.
  3. Yes, I believe that was the problem in the first place. I think they skip 8th grade for a "transition year". But he came to Highlands when he would have been the same age as the grade he is in currently. I thought it was definately a stretch, but who knows with the board.
  4. Was Ledney named re-eligible? Last time I checked he was ruled ineligible due to coming from Covington Latin...
  5. I have also heard good things about the newest Cecil kid. It seems to me like he would make an excellent tripple option quarterback. He is probably going to be one of the most athletic sophmores in the state. I will just keep dreaming about the option and wishbone thing........ Maybe some day........
  6. A few tall recievers so we can get back to the spread em out offense...
  7. How about the Highlands defense of 2004 in Louisville? I think that one was the fastest of any defense I have seen.
  8. Highlands will have an exellent defense next year. The last two freshmen teams went undefeated for a good reason. They will bring a lot of smart new faces to the table. Also, Cov. Cath. should have a great one returning also. They have a heck of a coach and surely enough boys to come out for the team.
  9. I forgot one on my list... Marty Reagan... :fire: :creepy: Though I hate to admit it, that kid was GOOD!
  10. NFL- Jarome Bettis/Mike Alstott Semi Pro- Brett Hamblen... College-Reggie Bush/Jared Lorenzen High School-Jordan Kramer/Jared Lorenzen/Jamie Hubbard/Brett Hamblen
  11. Though I don't think that either team would have scored 35, I do highly think that with all the passing that Lex. Cath. did this season, that Highlands would have scored atleast one touchdown on defense. Their defense scored in almost every game they played, most of the times more than once...
  12. I am not sure you are talking about the same team as us... Highlands returned something like 3 starters this year because there were so many seniors in 2004. One happened to be the quarterback. And for the musical chairs part, the quarterback this year came down with mono the week of the Elder game. Hudy had to step in and he did a good job. I will agree that Burke was better than Smith, but the argument I have is that the 2004 highlands defense could have kept up with every player on this years Lex Cath team. That includes containing Burke...
  13. To be honest, I think that the game would have turned out much like the Highlands vs. Boyle games in 2004. Boyle had a great offense, with many different weapons, who loved to score points. But they didn't seem to score many in that state game. But if you agree with the comontator, Brandon Smith just didn't have his best game... ...once again, it is hard to have a good game with 6 turnovers...
  14. I don't understand how cov. cath. could be rated higher than Highlands. I understand that they put up a great game against Lex. Cath. but Highlands beat cov. cath. a couple of weeks before that...
  15. Not to mention that Highlands caused 6 turnovers... :creepy:
  16. I know it sounds rediculous, but yes... They have seen the light... :flame:
  17. I don't think I have seen a single, jet sweep in atleast two weeks... The team seems to be doing ok without it though. :thumb:
  18. I honestly do not think that there is any way that these two teams can score that many points against each other. Their offenses may be above average, but their defenses are not as bad as this score shows them to be. I don't really care what the score ends up being (as long as it's close). I have been waiting all year for this match-up. It better Be a good one! :ylsuper:
  19. A Beechwood AA Belfry AAA Undecided (A little bird told me not to tell) AAAA St. X
  20. I dont know, I think it worked pretty well two weks ago... :sssh:
  21. Honestly, by separating privates and publics, many historical rivalries will be lost, along with a great deal of competition. Being from Highlands and being apart of 3A football, this is hard for me to grasp that there is a possibility of losing the Cov. Cath./Highlands game.
