  1. Semifinals are Bryan Station vs Lex Cath and Ballard vs Male
  2. North beat Holy Cross, Southern, and Valley at the Beth haven Shootout. J-town beat Calloway Co and Central on Friday also.
  3. This is confirmed-- Walt Allen won the award--very deserving IMO.
  4. The kid from North hardin is named Jamarious Sykes. He is a legit 7'2. Very good shot blocker, should fit in very well with this team. His older brother James Sykes is playing on one of the Eddie Ford Senior teams.
  5. Also if you do your research, Coleman was injured in both of the Ky/Ind games that year. Yes the Big O certainly dominated but that does not diminish the career that Coleman had.
  6. I doubt that will happen but if it does we would welcome him in the 5th. He is a very good high school official.
  7. I'd say that Bardstown has a shot to beat E-town. I don't see Nelson competing with John Hardin. If Bardstown beats E-town, maybe JH looks ahead and Nelson stuns them but I doubt it. I'd say that E-town wins by 8 and JH by 20. E-town wins the 5th tomorrow night by beating John 62-53.
  8. I think they have a chance if they rebound the basketball. They will need a good effort out of Neel and Mattingly. It will be interesting to see what type of defense E-town will play against Bardstown. Should be a good game.
  9. Harris' absence leaves E-town with no real solid ball handlers. They have adjusted well but Caverna showed that E-town has trouble handling the ball against solid pressure. They turned E-town over several times in the 4th quarter.
  10. The game is going to be played at 3:30 on the Saturday afternoon of the state tourney. I think the boys game is at Transy.
  11. I'd say that this while it will be a big game will just be a prelude to next week's bigger game in the Region Final (barring a monumental upset). I'd say that E-town wins just because John Hardin has no one to stop Pettigrew. I'd say E-town wins by 8-10 pts.
  12. I agree that they have no one that can guard Pettigrew but LaSage is not an offensive threat. With Harris out for E-town and Johnson out for JH, Bardstown could put a ton of pressure on both teams guards.
  13. Without Harris for E-town (if he is out any longer) and Johnson for JH, this series is a toss-up and it also brings Bardstown back in to the picture as far as a regional contender.
  14. The Valentine's at North Hardin, Robbie and Gary. I think they are either #1 and #2 or #1 and #3 all time at North Hardin.
  15. I'd say E-town wins this one. Game is at John Hardin, 2nd half of a girl/boy doubleheader. This game is for the #1 seed in the district. Without a major upset these teams should meet 2 more times.
  16. One alternative would be to play all of the 1st round games on Thursday, start at 9:00 am and play until all games are finished (didn't they used to do this?), play the quarters on Friday, the semis on saturday and have a Sunday afternoon final. Just a thought.
  17. I have heard this topic debated before and alot of people bring up cost as the issue. I think it would make for a much better tournament haveing two rested teams play in the finals.
  18. I think E-town could give South Laurel a game based on the fact that they have been there before and they have pretty solid guard play. I don't see John Hardin being able to play with South Laurel due to the fact they only have one "true" ball handler. I think the winner of the 5th/13th game is in the finals IMHO.
  19. The part alot of people don't realize is that Bland and Stallworth both came from Knox.
  20. Boys 16th vs 1st 13th vs 5th 15th vs 7th 8th vs 2nd 4th vs 10th 3rd vs 9th 14th vs 11th 12th vs 6th
