  1. Bardstown is battling some injuries, North has alot of football players playing key roles. Taylor had a very nice win tonight, the 5th will be fine. North hammered John Hardin tonight 74-49, they are headed to Apollo's Christmas tourney. The 5th has some very solid squads.
  2. Shelby Valley is the real deal. Justice is the best point guard I have seen in some time and the addition of Adams inside has been exactly what Valley needed. Coach Booher (a North Hardin alum) does a great job!!
  3. Looks to be a pretty good even tomorrow in Pikeville. Any thoughts? 2008 FARM BUREAU CLASSIC Saturday December 13th 1:00 Pike County Central vs. Henry Clay 2:45 Clay County vs. Louisville Central 4:30 Pikeville vs. Cordia 6:15 Knott County Central vs. North Hardin 8:00 Walton, GA vs. Shelby Valley
  4. Went 21-8 last year, they were above average last year. 9 of their top 12 played football and they are just trying to get everyone in the right spot right now. LaRod King didn't play because he was on a college visit last night. The Trojans will be fine, it just may be mid-January before they hit their stride. As far as the shooters, they have a junior named James Berry that can fill it up--hit 5 threes last night. Coach Bevars will have them ready at tournament time.
  5. Several 6'2, 6'3 ish kids that play bigger. Their style really doesn't use a true post. I don't think rebounding will be an issue because of their athleticism.
  6. I saw them several times this summer. They are the real deal, they have a ton of depth (they will when football is over). Wilford and Wilson can play with anyone. They also play a very good schedule year in and year out.
  7. I thought Manual looked in mid-season form. They played together. With that said, North missed a ton of lay-ups and free throws. I also was very impressed with Jenkins and Samsel, they feed off of each other very well. I have seen Jenkins play numerous times, and I liked how he didn't force anything last night, he let the game come to him. These are 2 very good teams, it is just going to take North a little while to get going.
  8. North Hardin opens up at Manual on Dec 2nd. Should be a great opener for both teams. I think both teams have football players that will play key roles but should still be a great game.
  9. Johnson will be eligible and be one of the best in the 5th. Another player from North Hardin to keep an eye on is Billy Thompson (state high jump champ last year). North should be right in the hunt for the 5th region crown.
  10. They said at the tournament that Stenzel hurt his back in a game vs. Western Hills. Clark Co was impressive even without Stenzel. Scott Co beat North Hardin this morning 84-78. I am not sure who won the Madison Central/J-Town game.
  11. The players name is Greg Johnson (he had some academic difficulties last year). He is about 6'3 and can really finish above the rim. I would say that you have to throw North in the mix in the 5th. They are very long and athletic. They also start 6'6 LaRod King (verballed to UK for football), 6'2 Billy Thompson, who has looked really good in this tourney in Frankfort. Johnson, they have a 6'6 junior in the middle Roosevelt Emerson, who is very strong. They start a sophomore at the point but when he is out, King is the primary ballhandler. I think they will end up being 7-8 deep.
  12. In Pool D, North Hardin went 3-0, beat Perry County Central (69-41), Madison Central (61-55), and Frankfort (99-38). I saw a few other games at Bell Gymnasium, but not sure of the exact scores.
  13. It will interfere for some but arrangements have been made to make sure all players that are attending the Elite Camp will also get to attend the scrimmage at Mason Co as well.:thumb:
  14. I believe that both scrimmages will start at 7:00 pm.
  15. North Hardin is hosting a summer shootout June 5-6. Participating teams: Louisville Holy Cross, Campbellsville, Garrard County, Louisville Western, Taylor County, Central Hardin, Shelby Valley, Meade County, Louisville Moore, Muhlenberg South, Louisville Male, DuPont Manual, LaRue County, Ohio County, and North Hardin.
  16. Plain and simple, Perry is not pursuing the job. No references toward community or board were made.
  17. Dominique signed with Kentucky State. Congrats to this fine young man.
  18. Don't try to grab this thread to compete with what is going on at Boyle County and Lincoln. Harp never applied or talked to the officials at Campbellsville. That is a fact - NOT A RUMOR. :fire:
  19. Valdosta State is the only team I know of that has won a Championship at any level, running the "System" strictly as their offense. Even Hoover Ala. incorporated more running ala Urban Meyer etc in their reign. It is just not a very physical approach when you start playing teams that match up to you later in the year.
  20. If the booster club does get involved and it is with their bingo money, it will be bad when the charitable gaming commission gets involved. Just my opinion.:dancingpa
  21. With Danville being a small independent school, I know for a fact, athletes are encouraged to play more than one sport. No coach at Danville, discourages any player from not playing more than one sport, only that athlete focus on the sport that is in season.
