I'll take Morgan by 8. If EC is scorching the nets and Morgan isn't getting on them on D, then this could change. Likewise, if Morgan plays their typical game and EC can't hit, it could be a blow out. But Sandy Hook is always a tough place to play so I will keep it reasonable.

I think we need to finish the season first! But the way that Ashland plays, anything is possible. I really depends on whether Rose Hill plays the kind of game they did against Boyd and whether the good or bad Ashland team shows up. Ashland has a way of stepping it up at tourney time, so I will have to go with Ashland. But as with any game, anything is possible.

:confused: Why would you not expect Slone or Vanhoose to score doubles? That is what they do, score!! Would you expect them to ever win if those two only scored in the single digits?

A game or two over decades does not make a rivalry!!

Without any more OJ's coming, I'm sure Ashland would win almost every game over the next 10 years! But due to adults acting like children because of the past, it isn't likely that they will play regularly. There is no rivalry though as most people think of rivalries. Now Ashland and Boyd Co., that would be a rivalry!

I agree with you there!! I know that BMR is stubborn, but BMR will have to accept the responsibilty for the decision of his many assistants! Hopefully it will be favorable responsibility that he has to accept instead of unfavorable!

That post makes a little more sense! I wouldn't quiet call it a rivalry though. Ashland has dominated the series when they have played, with the exception of the OJ days, and even then, Ashland won the District one year!

And if I am not mistaken (no sarcasm intended, ha) Ashland's State Runner-up finish in 1996 was when they were PGB not old Ashland High School Scooterbob! So in the last 10 years, Ashland PGB has gone farther than your RH Royals did even when they had OJ!!

Like I said, if they could do it fairly, then I have no problem seeding the Sweet 16! The teams have to win anyway to advance. And how does the 14th, 15th, or 16th fair any better now! Not since Paintsville won it in 1996 with Ashland the runner-up has any team from the 14th, 15th, or 16th really done anything anyway!

I would like it seeded whereever it would be feasible to do so! I just don't see how you can seed the Sweet 16 when there is no games to base it on, except some meaningless rankings!

I would agree, but how would you seed the Sweet 16? The teams don't play during the season to base a seed on. Would you use Dave Cantrell's rankings? :laugh: Since there is not a easier way to do it, the draw works for the State tourney. But why play the district games if you aren't going to seed? It makes them meaningless IMO.

It is true that anything could happen! With GC beating Russell, Rose Hill knocking off BC and EC beating Morgan. Who knows? But like I said it would be considered a MAJOR upset, but they do occur!

Well maybe you could use your connections to BMR to get him to re-think the defense that the Tigers use! Whoever's brain child it is still has to have BMR's blessing. BMR is too good a coach and the Tigers have too much talent to be in the position that they are in right now. I hope that they can change it, but time is running out quickly! As for UK, even with the win tonight, I don't know if more coaches would help them or not. But that is another topic for another time!

Believe me, it is not any player's ego that beats the Tigers! They may rush shots, but they pass the ball to the open man fairly consistently. It is very poor defense that is costing them the games and maybe the season as well! I believe that a pee wee squad could come in and score on them at times. I know that they lack a so called "big man" underneath, but they could do much better with what they have IF they would block out on the baseline consistently. BMR has not had a handle on the Tigers this year since the season started. I don't know why either. The best that they looked was during the Hoops Classic, but even then they lost several big leads during some of those games and had a lot of luck running with them. If they replayed that tourney, they wouldn't have won it.

Glad to see JC hang in there for the win against a good PCC team!

Only a major upset could keep the Cougars out of Morehead now!
