  1. Henry Clay gets 3rd place in the Toyota Classic after coming away with one after a close game throughout. Dixie had them down 10 at one point in the third but couldn't hold on.
  2. They were for the first half of the year, but lately have faced much tougher competition and with players having to sit out for various reasons that is obviously going to hurt. 12-7 is a better record at this point than what I, at least, thought they would have, considering their extreme lack of depth and lack of talent. (Howard and possibly McCord being exceptions)
  3. 1. Todd Jacobs - Covington Catholic 2. Duran Jefferson - Holmes 3. Michael Romes - Beechwood 4. Jeff Vories - Highlands 5. Sam Lawson - Dixie 6. Austin Hill - Holmes 7. Greg Rice - Holmes 8. Arrez Henderson - Holmes 9. Tim Tierney - Covington Catholic 10.Dan Penick - Ludlow 11.Nick Steenken - Holy Cross 12.Zach Kiernan - Newport Central Catholic 13.Benny Guidugli - Highlands 14.Nate Edmonson - Holmes 15.Kevin Lubrano - Dixie :dancingpa
  4. Tiger1, how can you say that after Dixie only lost to SC by 15 last time, shooting a mere 27%?
  5. That a way Jackson County, you make all of us proud in more ways than one.
  6. No matter what Tiger1 says, Scott is not a top four team in this region. Pendleton, Brossart, Mason County, George Rogers Clark, and Campbell County have all proven to be better teams than Scott. I would take those 5 as the only ones with a legit chance at Rupp. You could say this about Scott: :scared:
  7. Scott County takes on Dixie Heights in the Toyota Classic at 9 tonight. In their last meeting, Dixie held their own, with the final score of 55-40, while shooting 27% for the game. If Dixie puts in a few shots tonight, who knows what could happen. Then again, if Scott County is clicking, it could be a long night. I think this guy sums it up: :flame: :fire:
  8. I think winning and losing have a lot to do with how happy people are with a coach.... Carr's style is one that some kids are going to love and some are going to hate, so I don't think that you could say that all the Scott folks are happy or unhappy, but the fact that they're overachieving would lead me to believe that most people would be happier than not.
  9. HC and Dixie within single digits of CCH.... Beechwood within 10 of CCH and Holmes..... Holmes/Cov Cath/Highlands could probably beat each other on a given night.... Like I said, there is a difference, but I'm not sure it's that big of one if a team is shooting well.
  10. Carr is definitaly tougher and more vocal than past Scott coaches have been, but considering the success they've had up to this point I don't see how they could be unhappy. I would say Scott Eagles have overachieved this year.
  11. After watching the game tonight I would say that the ninth region could go to any of the top 6 or 7 teams. Holmes, Covcath, and Highlands should be at the top, but they are NOT head and shoulders above the Holy Cross, Dixie, NCC, and Beechwood's as was thought earlier in the year.
  12. Who are you referring to? Scott has some nice shooters, when they are set, but they've had plenty of opportunities to prove that taking people off the dribble and finishing would be more effective than what they're doing now. I just don't see it from this group. I thought the Eagles could have given Holmes a better game than they did the other night, but they looked a little intimidated and more timid than what I've seen in other games this year.
  13. Who else on that team is talented enough to do it, then? How many games has Scott won on one of Kyle's "off" nights? I don't see anything wrong the inside/out offense that Scott has been running...... some of the guards just need to take care of the ball a little better and make the defense respect them a little more to take some of the pressure off of Howard.
  14. 5 Trinity 3 Bryan Station 3 Henderson Co. Calloway County Rose Hill Bullitt Central Elliott County Southern West Jessamine Lafayette 124
  15. Anybody know anything about North Oldham's team this year?
  16. 1. Scott County 2. Shelby Co. 3. South Laurel 4. Eastern 5. PRP 6. Pendleton Co. 7. Henry Clay 8. John Hardin 9. Holmes 10. Owensboro Cath. 11. Elizabethtown 12. Jeffersontown 13. Male 14. Warren Central 15. Lafayette 16. Highlands 17. Desales 18. Ballard 19. Trinity 20. Covcath
  17. They've come a long way, starting the season with only two players with real varsity experience.... lots of close games with some of the states top teams. Look for Dixie to continue to improve and start getting some W's, I wouldn't want to play them come March.
  18. I thought Dixie played very well and would have most likely beat CCH on a neutral court. They could be scary in the regional tournament. Good game by both teams, though.
  19. I see Mr. Romes going nuts and having a massive game. He will most likely have a triple double with at least 30 points. Looks for Beechwood to win BIG. BTW, how do you become All-Universe cshs81?? :jump:
  20. Look for Kevin Lubrano to go nuts and score 25+. He and the rest of the Dixie defense should shut TJ down to under 10. I'll take Dixie by half a dozen.
  21. I like newcath, is there a bracket for the tournament out?
  22. Dixie has played Eastern, Ballard, at Scott County, at Pendleton County, at St. Xavier (OH), at George Rogers Clark, DeSales, plus at Highlands. Only a couple of those games were blowouts, and losing by only 15 at Scott County (#1 in the state) should be a positive step for the rest of their season.
  23. Scott County shot 49%, Dixie shot 28% from the field. Dixie was 15/55 from the field, yet played Scott County tough the entire game. The final score does not show how close this game truly was.
  24. You can throw out the records in this rivalry game. Should be a packed house. Thoughts?
  25. The most overrated team in the state is the University of Kentucky. Hehe, hehe.
