It's the field.

Except for that muffed kickoff Somerset's kick coverage has been awful.

It was a pooch kick. The LCA player tried to field it on a sprint and it bounced off of his face/ chest and went straight to the Somerset coverage.

17-14 LCA at halftime. The Eagles will receive to start the 2nd half.

They finally started picking up the blitz of off the corner.

Heck of a pick and return by Stayton. The dirty play by LCA seems to have woke Somerset up.

LCA is dirty. That's at least 3 personal fouls already. No reason to run into the kicker there. He took 2 extra steps.

If Somerset doesn't score on this drive this game is over.

I wonder if the SW fan's comments about the field conditions in advance of the game has psyched out the Warrior players...

They're being severely out-schemed. LCA's defense is 3 steps ahead of Somerset's offense. They're bringing at least one untouched every play.

LCA kicked it out of bounds so they started at the 35. Sheron scrambled for his life, threw one up for grabs that got caught. He's got zero time to throw. Even on the nice gain they just picked up.

Somerset is getting whipped on the offensive line. Just whipped.

Since Pulaski's offense is pass first and pass second wouldn't the field conditions hurt them more than Southwestern by your logic? If you think the field conditions will be bad enough to prevent Southwestern from passing it would seem to be devastating for Pulaski.

He managed to go 1-10 at Dunbar. It's debatable as to how much football he knows.

I just don't see LCA mustering enough offense to keep this one close. I'll take Somerset 28-7.

No. You're correct. It should have been one or the other. You don't get to add 10 yards on after the play on a hold. Another time they had picked up their flag too early and started marking off the penalty a full 6 yards from where they should have. Not a good crew.

Danville played a much better game this time minus the turnovers. They had a chance to win it in the 4th quarter. The punting game played a huge part late in the game. Stayton had a couple of clutch punts to back the Admirals up and Danville had 2 really short ones to keep the play on their side of the field. On another note: that was some of the strangest officiating that I've seen in a playoff game. Twice they marked off more yards that what should have been marked off on a penalty. Just bad all the way around.

Somerset was called for pass interference. The officials proceeded to mark off a 20 yard penalty. The Jumpers intercepted Thornton on the next pass and ran it back for a touchdown. However, holding was called on the return. The interception stands. Somerset's ball, under 2 minutes to go.

Halfback pass intercepted by Somerset but it is called back for defensive holding.
