  1. They will have plenty of time next year to think about basketball. Football may not be reality.
  2. Perhaps the point was proven with the payment of the fine and acknowledgement of the problem.
  3. Their news announcement said they needed 40 thousand. If that is the goal, field cost is a nothing number in that plan.
  4. at what cost. not to lose money. for that, there are plenty.
  5. That's the problem. I asked the booster president, coach and AD at Campbell County and they knew nothing about this but was upset to hear brossart people claiming they already had a contract to use the field. Turns out to be nothing to it. Sounds like the answer is to use St. Mary or St. Joe property, but if you believe the word on the street in Alexandria, the boosters at those schools are not happy about being a host. Sounds like the fairground people are a little unhappy about the practice idea. Jump the gun problem, maybe.
  6. And to simply chase after dollars is a total waste of time. I be willing to bet Brossart will not pay what is needed to make it worthwhile.
  7. I do not think it is going to happen. That field is already booked.
  8. Walton will be ahead in this program. They are building a football field. Brossart does not even have a place to practice or play and I doubt they will get to use the camel football field. I think brossart will not even have a team this fall.
  9. I am not sure the NewCath is as big an upset given the team issues for Holmes lately. I see the Bulldogs fading fast.
  10. stthomasmore - private schools would not be able to do a better job than public schools. Let me ask you a question. If a student is disruptive can the private school simply elect to expel? End of arguement.
  11. Tigershark you seem to be avoiding what is being asked of you. Can you provide info on private school test scores or not, to prove your point?
  12. I found this link from an email I received a few months ago. I think it sets the tone for the education side of this discussion. http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/0510/p11s01-legn.html
  13. this is where the "whine" should be served to the private school "victim" debate. It is not the responsibility of the state or any state and its agencies to provide for those not residing in the state. So what if there are no schools in their home state area. That is not Kentucky's issue or concern and it should not be. I see it as a huge advantage. It is one thing to say to the public schools, do a better job and get the kids to come to your school vs. a private school but it is very different and unfair to say, even if you do a good job, you cannot get the kid because he does not even live in the state.
  14. Read the bold post highlighted and you will have your answer. Clue: has nothing to do with bowling.
  15. On one hand academic competition is a joke but vs. another school, who takes it serious is not to be respected?! :thumb: Fairly self serving and self justification. Here is the bottom line oh Brossart faithful, CCHS is making a big difference now. Keep telling yourself that you are better than the county school. As your enrollment numbers decline - as in the past two freshman classes and CCHS continue to climb. Makes one wonder where the true academic action is happening. As Trouble Shooter pointed out, it was a great run. But even among yourselves, there is not a whole lot of satisfaction of accomplishment. CCHS and Brossart students - top 10 to 20% would equal each other out. There is absolutely no difference, with a nod going to CCHS due to the extensive course offering. As for the silly football comment, I think you need to look in the mirror and ask why the faithful go to the blue and gold vs. green. As for the topic of this thread, I think until Brossart is finally able to defeat Campbell - at least show the respect because you have yet to beat them in post season play for quite some time. If you are successful this year, it will be about time. On paper, BBHS is very strong contender but so is CCHS and I think the smart money is on the Camels.
  16. You have said this before in other posts...you, as usual are wrong then and wrong now. At least get your facts straight.
  17. Andy Franzen, soph. to be, will break into one of the four slots early and will be quite impacting come tournament time.
