I agree.. Seems it isn't all the players fault IMO. Players come and go yet UK still has the same problem year in & year out. There is only one common factor and that is the coaching staff. I know everyone gets tired of hearing Tubby needs to go yadda yadda etc... but this is a MSG board that people paid $ to give their Opinions and voice their concerns or gripes. If people don't want to continue to read or listen to it. Don't come into the thread or post about it. Sorry about the rant but tired of people hassling others about what they think or posting the same things over and over. They paid their $$ to have a right to do that if they want like it or not. In the end it is just basketball and it is everyones OPINIONS.

While I agree with what you are saying. It is the Coaches job to develop the talent they get. Not many guys come to college already at the top of the their game. Of course a few do but not many. It is the Coaches job to get them to the level.

The players who have someone younger pushing them are the ones who are playing good, or making an effort. Crawford/Bradley = Meeks pushing. Morris has no one to push him.. Woo isn't going to and Morris knows that.

I don't care at this point. Beside I know that 20 hours a week is what Coaches get to hold PRA, meetings or team functions etc..Therefore alot of the meetings and such is techincally not mandatory but you wouldn't dare say that or miss one. We use to call them Valandatory. This does not include the games.

You forgot Scott Padgett. All a part of the last Final 4 and Title Team.:confused: :sssh:

Bingo! Agree 100%. From the way they played yesterday No one seems to care. On any team when trying to right the ship you have make changes somewhere, and that mean sticking with them. If that means sitting the starters for a game do it, if that means 2-3 Pra sessions a day do it, and if they means replacing Coaches do it! Some where some one has to step up and care. Sometime someone has to make a Brett Farve move and call people out or stand up in the locker. One problem UK has had lately is they have ZERO leadership from anyone. You are college (athlete / coach) at a Great school, and (playing / coaching) for a great Program. ACT LIKE YOU want to be there or Leave. RIGHT THE SHIP........I don't care who it is, JUST DO IT!

Not denying that and I agree. However like people have said great players do more on the floor then just score sometimes. Lofton makes the other guys better.

RP- I never said they played good D tonight... Where did I say that? UKMustang- Based off the 1st UK v UT game Lofton was the difference maker.

Sorry didn't sound that way when I read it. Now that I see what you meant. You didn't say anything different then I did. I never said I would rather see scoring then Def... I said you have to be able to do both (Captain Obivous over here).

Yeah played well... UK was out scored in the paint by a bunch of guards. D played good thou..... Like I said Good Def is great but you have to SCORE. Last time I checked points don't go on the board for stops, steals, or Blocked shots.

Lofton was the difference maker... Thats a shocker

Have to pra being mentally tough. You don't just have it you have to build it. OR thats what my coaches always preached.
