It’s going to be Scott Drew. I’m okay with that.

Agreed. Partly because room for improvement is so great, but agreed.
That was exactly my point.

When you first say "Dan Hurley," the thought crosses immediately to "Why would he leave his set up at UConn?"
I have no idea about Dan Hurley but my thoughts are this:
Especially if he wins tonight......what more does he have to accomplish at UConn vs trying to "rebuild" Kentucky into a national champion. Is he looking for the next challenge? What does his ego need?
More money....I have to believe UK will pay him more.
Regardless of recent success, UK is a national product...much more than UConn. I would put Duke, UK, North Carolina and UCLA in those "national product" type places.
So while at first thought it takes me to why would he, I know shift to why would he not want the challenge???
You are grossly under-representing UConn…
If they win tonight, they will have six titles, all since 2000.
Hurley isn’t leaving a back-to-back National champion for Kentucky.

Looks like UK, UL,WKU and I think Morehead will all have new coaches next season. Which fanbase will end up being the happiest next March?
Louisville.

Do ANY of the players stay now? My guess is maybe a couple stay.
Cal taking recruits with him?
I expect all but Travis Perry to reopen their recruitment.
They all should. Players come to Kentucky for the name on the front. Or so I’ve heard.

Well they ran off Tubby and now Cal, so I guess queue the next Billy Gillespie. Y'all asked for it.
And what a shame that will be.

I don’t believe they’ll be hiring the Trojan horse they sent west….
Who knew all the time those UK fans were saying KP deserved another year they meant at UK…

I would like to see a new coach at Kentucky.
Looks like you (and others) are gonna get that wish.

Okay now I believe it….

That thought actually crossed my mind. That and Cal trying to put some fear (in his mind) into the UK fans. Or maybe Cal knows he has no chance at a deep run next year with 6 freshmen and is getting out before he is forced out next season.
If there were a chance of him being “forced out” after next year, he’d be a fool to leave.

Cal about to finesse another extension outta Mitch. 🤣

I get Diggs is good and all, but what is he? The 15th best WR in the NFL? He’s worth more than what the Bills got in return, but probably not as much as people are thinking. This isn’t Hill or Jefferson.
This is where I am. He’s been really good at times, but I’ve really never gotten the hype on him.

I’ve shared this “hot take” several times in several places, sometimes it’s not well received, but oh well…
The WNBA, and women’s sports in general, will never be popular until women start supporting them.

I guess I am asking about the total compensation package and what is available beyond base salary that can mostly be counted on.
I don't know that there's really much "compensation package" in the WNBA. Outside of endorsements, that's pretty much what they make.

Will she be able to make more money in the WNBA next year than she can make by staying in college?
The highest paid player in the WNBA is making $252,000 this year.

Absolutely not, if we're talking about base WNBA salary.

Meh, maybe.
While Drew was the "top priority," I didn't feel like most Louisville fans were in love with the idea. Especially from a personality standpoint.
