    Semantics perhaps.

    Probably.

The narrative I'm not accepting that some are trying to push (not here) is that UK wasn't turned down because they didn't "offer." The offer is the courting of the candidate.

    I agree with you Deuce.

How do you see Clark's impact on the WNBA going?  I see a bump at first for her games but beyond that I am thinking not much.

I would agree. Initially of course the numbers will skyrocket, mostly because nobody watches the WNBA.

Long term is TBD. If she gets to the WNBA and doesn't put up the video game numbers we're used to, the impact will dwindle over time.

Sure. Because they are ready to offer doesn't mean they actually put an offer on the table. I am one of the last people that would defend anything Matt Jones says, but everyone knows getting money from UK is not an issue in this. No doubt UK wanted Drew, but that doesn't mean they put an actual contract offer on the table.

    LOL. Okay.

That statement by Drew says nothing about UK offering him, so maybe Matt Jones is right. Maybe they talked but no offer?

They flew his family to and from Lexington but didn't offer him anything? Come on.

I'm telling you, college basketball needs this in the worst way. Cue up the entrance music and make it happen.

A tattoo reminding Cats fans that Louisville has a title more recently than they do would be a bold strategy for ole Ricky.

When he said he was taking the day to think about it, I didn't think he'd come.  I think Kentucky is a job that if you want it, you take it when it's offered ASAP.

Well Matt Jones says they didn't offer Scott Drew, so maybe that's the problem?

Apparently landed in New York, 40 minutes from where Hurley lives. With that said Pitino is also in New York. So if Hurley still says no, could make their way to Pitino.

The Kraft's are in New York all the time.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but that account is about the worst possible one to get your information from.

He has consistently thrown out information that's not really a scoop, and when he's been more specific and wrong, he either deletes the tweet or just uses the "things changed."

I mean with that specific tweet... Why would someone who is supposedly helping set up the press conference know when Drew is meeting with his team? Notice the several degrees of separation? That's his usual tactic.

I don't know muvch about her...other than it was her plane:)

Seriously Drew puts his family on a plane to come visit Lex (Which tells me his mind is made up), then goes and has lunch with a big booster in Waco (probably getting a sweeter pot there in case his family doesn't like the Lex trip).

That's some pretty shrewd business negotiations if you asked me! All while getting his favorite Mexican restraunt some hype as well!  You have to love big time Coaching searches in the social media days!

Yeah I would agree that sending the family there doesn't make much sense to me at all, regardless of how you're leaning.

What are they going to learn in a couple hours that would help them make the decision?

One angle I thought of... Perhaps he sent them so that if he does turn it down, which is unlikely IMO, he can say "This was a family decision" so he doesn't make Mitch look bad.

Drew's wife has reservations about moving...Kelly Craft said here guys hold my glass of whine, I will take care of this.

For real, no better time of the year to fly someone into Lexington area over the horse farms and Keeneland?:)

If UK doesn't have someone better than Kelly Craft to offer, they are in trouble.
