  1. Nicholas played at Fleming this year, but I went to Nicholas and watched my friends son play in a middle school game and that is when I saw their stadium upgrades.
  2. Actually, I am a Fleming County fan. I just have seen Fleming play both and my impression is Raceland has superior athletes.
  3. Nicholas has totally remodeled their stadium and put in new bleachers for home and visitors. Having watched Fleming County play both teams, I think Raceland has too many weapons for Nicholas County. The Bluejackets will play hard but I just dont think they have the overall speed and athleticism Raceland has.
  4. Greg Denton did hold the record up to last year when Jordan Story passed him up. Fleming and Raceland did scrimmage before the 07 season at Lawrence Co.
  5. I know Cooper and Thompson are playing, not sure about Owens.
  6. Their district schedule is: Lewis County, Mason County, Russell and West Carter. Their non-district schedule is: Bath County, Newport, Nicholas County, Raceland, Rowan County and Woodford County.
  7. Fleming County hosted the Pink Panther Shoot for the Cure Night. The team made a $500.00 donation to the Fleming County Cancer Care Club. I will try to attach pics.
  8. What kind of lay up drill puts a kids momentum into the sideline???? This thread is about the game not Fleming's student section!!!!
  9. I think it would be a stretch to say Fleming looked the "poorest"! They did pretty well considering they only won 4 games last year. They beat South Laurel twice, Logan County twice, Allen County- Scottsville twice (in close games), Pike County Central once, Lexington Christian once, and when the played Raceland they lost the first game by one point and the second they either won by one point or lost by one (one field counted int's as 2 points and no other field did). They also lost to Decatur (Indiana) by a TD. So, all in all they were 8-3 or 9-2. It was a good camp and every game that I saw was competitive. I think it would be fair to say that everyone left knowing they had some things to work on, but there were good points for everyone.
  10. Maybe they are too close, but let's just be happy that the kids are at the game. Fleming County's school spirit was great last night!!!!! It would be nice for all student sections to be like that. Let's get back on the topic - the game!!!!
  11. NHS BIG DADDY How does Russell's Defense compare to East Carters Defense? I honestly don't think East Carter is anywhere close to the defensive team that Russell is. I personally felt that Fleming had the second best defense in the district. Like I posted earlier, Russell has a complete defensive squad. By that I mean they have great cover corners, a good line and solid linebackers. If they send the pressure like they did against Fleming, watch out! They can really bring the HEAT :flame: It does not matter how good your line is when they send more than they can block and get to the Qb before he can throw it!
  12. After having the privilige to watch Fleming play against both teams, I have to go with Russell. I know that Glenn did not play against Fleming, but I don't think he would change my opinion in this game. I watched Fleming play man to man on Newport the entire game and the only balls Newport caught were on screen passes. I think Hesch had around 65 yards in that game. The Russell secondary is the best in the region and you pair that with the heat the front and Lb's bring and your passing game is in trouble! Newport does have a big line and Glenn is quick and Wilfong runs hard, but they are not the best that Russell have played this year (in my opinion). Defensively, I don't think Newport will be able to consistently stop the Russell ground game. They are so sound and they will just continue to pick away at you all night. My predicted score: Russell 42 Newport 14 Again, it is not because Newport is that bad it is because Russell is that GOOD! :thumb:
