Rockets to go for two and Reams goes in for the conversion. Rockets now lead 48-12.

Luna scores from 8 yards out for the Rockets. The last three possessions for the Rockets have started inside Tiger territory.

Thomason scores from 2-yards out. The two touchdowns he's scored tonight are the first two of his career. The kick once again hits the cross bar and falls short. Rock now leads 40-12.

Rock answers back as McDaniel goes in from 12 yards out. The kick by Reams no good after hitting the cross bar. With 8:16 to go in the third, the Rockets lead the Tigers 34-12.

Carr strikes again from 60+ yards out on a pass reception. Rockcastle's defense is breaking right now. Carr's 2-pt conversion attempt is no good. Rock now leads 28-12.

And just as I speak about the Clay County rushing stats, Sam Carr breaks for a 67 yard touchdown for the Tigers on the first play of the half. There was a bad snap on the extra point attempt and the kicker is tackled. Rock's lead is cut to 28-6 early in the 3rd quarter.

Coach Roark probably gave him the okay to practice, but who knows really except those directly involved. Thanks for the updates though.

Just heard one stat that is pretty amazing...Clay County has 12 carries for a total of -24 yards...they have not completed a pass yet and when they've dropped back to pass, they've been sacked.

If the QB is also a basketball player, he can't practice until the season is over unless the football coach gives him the okay to do so.

Steven Thomason scores from 1 yard out. Reams' XP kick is blocked. With 3:01 left in the half, Rock now leads 21-0. Clay County can't do anything on offense and Rock takes over in their own territory. Then McPhetridge later hits Reams for a 10-yard touchdown pass. The kick was good. With 1:21 to go in the half, Rock now leads Clay 28-0.

Clay County turns the ball over on second down. The Tigers have ran a total of eight plays so far tonight...if I'm not mistaken. Two three and outs and then the two play series that ended in a fumble.

Cory McPhetridge to Eli Haddix for a 24-yard touchdown pass. The extra point kick by Reams is good. With 6:52 to go in the first half, Rock leads Clay 15-0.

Damien McDaniel scores from two yards out. Zack Reams will attempt the kick...Clay County jumps on the snap count...Rock now to go for two...BB Bradley converts. Rockets lead 8-0 with 8:19 to go in the first quarter.

Clay County wins the toss and has deferred to the second half so Rockcastle County will take the opening kickoff. Luna takes the kick at about his own 20 and returns it to almost the Rock 40 yard line.

You also got to take in the option to work for some of those kids. Once they get to the age they can work, their parents tell them that if they want to have their own car, they must work to keep it. I've encountered this a couple times when I was real close to the Rockcastle County program and some of those that chose work over playing were guys with some pretty decent talent. I know that at that time it didn't really effect the Rockets that much cause they have been pretty consistent over the years, but it could be an even bigger factor at other schools.

Please don't get me wrong when I ask this but has McCreary Central ever been as successful as when they had Aaron Watts on the team? Just curious cause that kid was a great athlete. Sometimes it takes someone with his skills to get some wins and to eventually bring up support and enthusiasm from the others in the school and/or the youth that follows the program.

According to all the schedules I've seen, Moeller was the host team tonight...the did wear the "home" jerseys. Anyways though, it was still a fantastic finish...just glad I was able to see the final couple minutes since the internet here is shoddy right now.

Final. Boy was that a crazy finish or what? Moeller scores with about 10 seconds to go to grab a 24-23 lead. The kickoff goes for a touchback and on the first play after the kickoff, Cathedral's QB scrambles to his right and heaves up a hail mary (no pun intended)...the Moeeler DB should have caught it but mistimed his jump and the Cathedral receiver caught it and was dragged down at the Moe 22 with just 1 second to go on the clock (which the refs ended up having to keep on the field)...Cathedral rushed its FG team onto the field and the left-footed kicked drilled a 40 yard kick for an Irish victory. Crazy crazy crazy finish!

Cathedral completes a 58 yard pass with 1 second to go. The field goal from 40 yards out is GOOD. Cathedral wins 26-24. Crazy finish!

Touchdown Moe. Extra point is good. Moe leads 24-23...not sure of how much time is left...major clock issues at the game as they refs are having to keep the clock on the field now.
