  1. Very surprised by this. I think Carroll has a prety good team. Williamstown must be talented
  2. I also believe that Lloyd has some excellent speed with two very talented runnung backs, and Bellevue has two very talented running backs. Henry Co. is extremly talented, and you would have to say the kid from Scott, who rushed for 800 yds  against them, has to be pretty good too. That being said, you can say that Ludlow has struggled a bit against good running teams. If the two backs from eminence are as good as some are saying it could be a long day or a very high scoring game. I think Ludlow will be prepared, the game is away, it will be rainning (Maybe), my guess is: Ludlow 28, Eminence 21
  3. HERE HERE:dancingpa I can not stand it when an official refuses to talk to a coach who is looking for an explaination. It also bothers me when I see an official do a bigger game, like Mason vs. Brossart and you see them hustling and being open to the coaches, them you see those same officials at say Mt. Olivet doing the Augusta/Deming game and they seem upset to have the game, thus those kids don't get the same effort. Not all, just some - And not just those officials but I am sure in other areas as well. That was just an example!!
  4. It has been a good season for Walton, a win here makes it a great season. Anyway you look at it, Coach McMillan and his staff have done an excellent job!!! Good Luck Walton!!!
  5. Gregory could have gone Division 1 (Still could) but it would not have been as a QB (IMO) But more probably a Tight End. As for the Herthel kid, he is pretty good and pretty fast, but not very tall, I don't know if he even gets a D-2 look. That is nothing aginst him, as the last person stated, you have to be exceptional to get a D-1 scholarship or exceptionally large. But I hope they all get a chance to play at the next level. Look at the guys who are performing for Thomas More who played in Northern Kentucky. Those were some very, very good High School Players. Playing Division 3, which if you have seen a D-3 game there are some great players, its hard to play at that level as well!! But congrats jugs and best of luck the rest of the year!!!
  6. That was very well said!! Thanks for the response!!!:thumb: It is good to know that Coach Hornsby coaches to his style. Which I wouldn't doubt knowing the experiences he has as a coach. He wouldn't be anyone but himself, & I also think that is why he will be successful.
  7. You know Coach Hornsby is a very fine coach, you must have played for him. But I think he was part of the coaching staff last year if I am not mistaken. I think he derserved the job, but I am sure if he was a member of the staff last year it certainly is contradictory to say the program was going in the wrong direction. You seem to have this bias for the past coaches, you must not have received enough playing time you thought you deserved but never earned. But I know Coach, and he will give that program every opportunity to have success, but the kids have to put the work in that is necessary if they ever plan to compete with the big boys in A football. By the way Joe Nuxhall better get in the Hall this year, if not, that is a TRAVESTY!!!
  8. Congrats to both schools players. Keep the building going!!
  9. Great for Mike. I know Mike well and he is an extremely hard worker and a great kid!! After an injury plaqued junior year it's good to see that his hard work is paying off!! Way to go Mike!!
  10. Sportsnut. You seem to know this squad a little. Do they have the talent if it comes together to win this conference?
  11. I like Coach Sims and think he will end up rebuilding that program to what it was when Coach Biggs left. If a coach is not a yeller and a screamer, it will do him no good to yell and scream to get his kids to play hard, probably only make them roll their eyes. That being said, coaches do have to have the trust of their players, that they are teaching them the correct way to play the game. Then if the coaches have kids with ability, victories will follow. You will not win without talent, depth helps also!! That will allow you to sit a kid who might not being doing what you are asking and let them watch a player who is just as competent. I wish all the coaches great success, because this is high school basketball and it shouldn't all be about the wins and losses!!! Unfortunately in to many places it is!!!
  12. I am looking forward to see how this team does this year. I think they have quite a few kids returning. The Shelton kid is big and they say he has a nice shot. Watching them play the couple times I did last year, I feel this year will about them being able to play as a team and not as individuals. They have the talent to win the conference. I've also heard you will from a couple kids who didn't really play that much last year. At the least they will help their depth. Don't remember the Betts kid as their shooter, I thought Williamson was their main shooter. The more shooters the better!!!
  13. Surprisingly, they are a team that likes to pass the ball even though they have some very large offensive linemen. Quarterback is extremely athletic, has a very tall wide receiver he likes to throw to.They also have a stong running back that goes about 205. They are going to be very hard to contain. If Ludlow turns the ball over, like they have in other games this year, it will be hard for them to keep it close. If they hold on to the ball, different story. It will be a tought game for them to go on the road and win. Best of luck though Panthers!!
  14. This could be the year for Calvary. I know they are talented and experienced. I know Beechwood is going to have a fine team and I heard Dayton has a couple nice players. Ludlow also has a chance and should have some talent. I think the winner of this conference may lose 2 to 3 games, being that they still play "home and home" and don't get away with just playing once. I am not sure what Villa lost last year, but if they build on what they did last year, it is going to be exciting to watch!!!
  15. Should be a good game. With the lost of Gregory I'm not sure if the Juggs can pull it off. HC - 28 Lloyd - 14
  16. Don't forget the coaches and the great job they are doing keeping the players BELIEVING!!!! Way to go Coach Borchers and Staff!!!!!
  17. It should be a close game. If the Ludlow kids can hang in there and not get cramped up and have to be replaced throughout the game I like their chances. If they have to substitute a lot it will be difficult. Ludlow 20 Bellevue 14
