Good post. I agree that sometimes things just don't go your way. That happened to Boone a couple weeks ago against Conner. A loss in a regional semi finals games is nothing to be ashamed of, I know there are 6 other teams from our district that would love to have been in that game. We've both been fortunate enough to experience this for the last couple years. Dixie accomplished a great deal this year with a very young team. I'm sure they will be right back in it next year because they do the little things during the off season that matter. I may not be a Dixie fan but I do have respect for their program & know they should never be overlooked. Congrats to your seniors & good luck in all future en devours & to all the returning players, keep up the hard work, just not too hard,

Way to go Rebels. You came out & showed me I have too little faith in you. The way Dixie has played since your last meeting lead me to believe this would be a much closer game. IMO, the difference in this game was Joey Bricking. He seemed to be way off tonight & even when he did hit his target, his receivers dropped too many catchable ball. Although I've got to hand it to Boone's D, they played with few different players to due injuries & they all stepped up BIG. As far as Metzgar goes, I have watched several games this year & have been very impressed with his ability & heart. That play on Kammer was a bad one but it is NOT indicative of the way he has played all year.

:thumb: That's what I was thinking too. I can't see Highlands seating 4700 unless they're all elf's.

After looking up a few schools, Conner, Boone, Ryle & Highlands. I'm wondering how accurate these numbers really are. It shows Ryle having the lowest capacity of these four schools with only 3600 while Conner is at 4600, Boone at 4000 & Highlands holds 4700. Are these numbers really true, I would think Boone's or Ryle's stadium would hold the most of these schools. :confused:

On a somewhat related note. Would there be an advantage or disadvantage to holding playoff games at a predestined site like they do for other sports such as basketball, baseball & softball. Having that site rotate every year to allow each school to be able to host games. I know it would may take away that home field comfort feel but it may make for larger crowds to attend games, at least when at some of the larger stadiums. Has this every been considered before, is it even worth a discussion?

I heard Boone had sold somewhere around a 1000 tickets as of yesterday afternoon. Unless there are tickets held out for gate sales, this game will be sold out early Friday. BTW, what is the capacity of Dixie's stadium?

Isn't this just going to dilute the classes we have know? What would be the cutoff for each class? What are the cutoffs for the 4 classes we have know?
