  1. OC by 21. I'm changing my prediction. OC defense will play well. I like our endurance and beleive we will score because Corbin passed for over 300+ yards. BTW, does anybody listen to Rick thompson and the other Radio guys in Owensboro on WBIO? They all do an awesome job but I was wandering why the other guys jump in and call touchdown before the Play by Play guy which I think is Rick Thompson? I am always waiting for his big TOUCHDOWN and sometimes you hear the color guys jump in and say touchdown right before his big yell. Nothing controversial, just thought it seemed a little goofy. 3. It was BRILLIANT. That is what Champions are made of... Also, it was a no brainer based on the loafing that FC was doing around the line of Scrimmage at the time... They all thought punt...even I did as well as the rest of you. Great Call! My favorite is critics that like to talk about a call being crazy and stupid because they would not do it. It takes balls and that what wins big games.
  4. I don't know anything about Desales. However, Catholic has played some tough playoff games and some tough season games against several 4-A teams. I think if Catholic can playwithout turning the ball over, they win. Catholic turned the ball over 6 times against Fort Campbell the #1 team in the State all year and still found a way to win. Tough as Nails. OC 35 Desales 24 :thumb:
  5. Agreed. It was an upset. As far as the (3) D-1 prospects on the field, I thought #30 Atcher looked like the best kid for FC. He never quit and I got the feeling and several other fans with me, that the big names on FC quit. OC overcame 6 turnovers to beat the #1 team in the State. They just never gave up! OC also put up 28 points on a team that has only allowed 10 points in a game. OC's defensive unit was tough once again. After so many turnovers and giving the Falcons good field position they just kept tough. I will say this, The Falcons had so much speed and talent and for some reason at the end of the 4th when they were still winning 25-20 they got tight and played not to lose. Congrats to botht teams on a great season! Go OC win Beat Desales! :jump:
  6. I think its amazing that Belfry had such a dominate team last year with 500+ yards on offense and only wins by 7 points with an OC team that went 10-5. OC only had a QB and 2 receivers last year. This year its a much more complete package. I want to to win this week, which I think we will by 14+. then next week. If we get there again, I would love another piece of Belfry. We took all they had last year and still had chances. It was clear we got dominated yet we could still score. I really hope to see a rematch. I also love the consolation the East gives themselves by saying they are down this year so when they do lose, they have their built in excuse ready to go. :flame:
  7. Owensboro Catholic and Belfrey Rematch
  8. Are you living in the glory days of last year. Each year is different. Every team has to play it out. So good luck! But you haven't gotten there yet. :thumb:
  9. Good Point Green! That is all we have heard about on this site all year ,about all these D-1 prospects at FC. As a matter of fact, Any compliments OC received were always followed up with being Overrated.
  10. I went to the Trigg - FC game early in the season and Trigg had a great chance to win that game several times. If FC is only 7 points better than Trigg I have a hard time seeing FC stopping OC's offense. At this point, with OC's outstanding line play and if OC's doesn't get lazy I think OC will dominate the game at the line of scrimmage. This OC team has really matured each and every week which is what you want to see going through the playoffs and I don't they they have peaked yet in regards to having a really outstanding game. OC - 35 FC - 21
  11. FC has so much pressure. The monkey is huge. I think your right, if they don't do it this time they never will.
  12. Football is an emotional game and Coach Edge never takes things for granted. I love his intensity all the way through. I know the kids love his passion. Thats why OC has so many kids out. Kids want an all or none coach. Nobody wants to play for a Wuss. What I like about him the most is his calmness which will all of a sudden explode with intensity. Then He comes right back down again. Keep up the good work OC. :thumb:
  13. Catholic dominated. D was outstanding, pressure on the QB was relentless. I have said this before and I will say it again Trigg is undisciplined. They have great athletes and always the ability to win but when it comes to the tough ones, they lose composure. Congrats to OC beat FC. Going to be a good one! :dancingpa
  14. I assume your talking to Rambo... but I think Homers are what makes posting threads fun. And this is exactly what I like about this site... The Opportunity to Express your Passion about your team. DITTO RAMBO! Thanks for your comments Rambo. :thumb:
  15. Wildcat here is where you show your ignorance of the Catholic team you seem to struggle giving credit to when it belongs. Catholic's D last year was made up of mainly sophmores and Juniors. There offense oushined D easy last year with Bernard who by the way got no Statewide recognition for his acheivments... If you ask me, the Public schools can not stand the fact that a small private school with less in facilities and money can whip'em every year. And when OC loses in the Championship game every one likes to say "SEE I TOLD YOU THEY WEREN'T THAT GOOD". Well, How about giving Belfrey some credit for having a great team. They did a great job and beat OC... Bottom line Trigg and FC are frustrated trying to figure out how to beat the OC Team year in and year out. By the Way I think Trigg is the toughest team OC plays in the playoffs year in and year out and has more talent. I think they have eaten the Bisquik when the game was a critical points and OC capitalized... :thumb:
  16. Those same announcers guaranteed a victory over OC this week and said OC was way over rated. :flame:
  17. I realize the receivers were good last year and I may sound crazy but I think this group is better at OC across the board. Taller and Faster for sure.
  18. Catholic is to much for Trigg because of many of the points mentioned above. Catholic won last year with much less. These kids have had so much experience as someone mentioned in the last 2 years. Catholic is better this year at the line than last year and much more versatile in scoring. Woodward scrambles, Bernard never did. Woodward completion % is Higher. Catholic is way more balanced run/pass. I saw Trigg play at FC and both teams seemed to try and give the game away in the end. Trigg can not throw the ball and I would dare them against the DBs of OC who have probably 20+ interceptions. Catholic 35 Trigg 21
