  1. Oh I remember it well and I will never forget it. If you look at my first post on this subject I tried to take the high road and not show some"cocky excitement" but what did that get me? Tiny called me out and I answered. You can thank your pal tiny for my previous post. See you Friday.
  2. Sorry, I had to go back at re read the thread to see what you were talking about. If this happened I didn't see it because I left mid way through the fourth to beat the traffic because the game was over at that point. If this did happen I guess you could blame it on emotion. It was a big win you know. Didn't Boyd just have one loss at the time and to come in to there house a beat them like they did was huge for the program. It must have been the freshman and JV who did this because the varsity would've been to exhausted to do this because they did so much running and scoring during the game.
  3. I don't know how many but I know there won't be an Apple Bowl crowd. In my opinion we may see around 5000+ for the Ashland game though. I just don't think you'll see that type of crowd for the Boyd game. Now if I'm wrong I'll be the first to tell you so.
  4. I'm just going by the stadium capacity that the school lists to the KHSAA. It lists the capacity it as 3500. Here's the link. http://www.khsaa.org/directory/schools.php3?school_id=140
  5. I believe this estimate because they were lined up around the track because this was the Apple Bowl and the crowd was huge. There wasn't a seat left until the middle of the third quarter if you no what I mean.
  6. Bell County vs Madison Central Clay County vs Rockcastle County George Rogers Clark vs North Laurel Paintsville vs Johnson Central
  7. 5,000 or better, the whole stadium only holds 3500 people.
  8. We will never be "full of ourselves" when we play anybody. Do you remember what happened last year when we come to Boyd? If both teams play each other next year why wouldn't we be confident in coming to Cannonsburg next year? They will prepare the same way next year as they did last season and as they are for this weeks game.
  9. He's a starter this year but he's been out the past couple of weeks with a seperated shoulder.
  10. I didn't think Ashland would have any problem in this one. I heard Coach Hart say on his postgame interview that Ashland would never play Preatonsburg again as long as he's the head coach.
  11. It has been used recently on the professional level. Some teams run what I call an inverted bone last year in the NFL. I did some research on this and here is what I found. Texans- In week 5 against the Titans the Texans faced second-and-9 from their own 27-yard line. For most teams, that’s a passing down, but new offensive coordinator Joe Pendry wanted to establish the run. So he sent his team to the line with three running backs on the field: Domanick Davis as the deep halfback, Moran Norris and Jonathan Wells as fullbacks. With David Carr under center, the quartet of backs aligned in a loose diamond shape. The Titans defense read Norris’ block off right tackle and over-pursued. Jonathan Wells helped seal off the back side. Davis crashed through a hole between the center and right guard, gaining 44 yards before the Titans defense caught up to him. Panthers- The Panthers are getting the most use out of the inverted wishbone. They used this formation at least five times last year against the Saints and several more times against the Patriots and Packers. The Panthers use it as a power running attack. Nick Goings, DeShaun Foster, or Stephen Davis takes a handoff and hammers the line behind fullbacks Brad Hoover and (tight end) Mike Seidman. The Panthers have also executed some play-action passes and some reverses from the inverted bone. Browns- The Browns are also use the inverted bone, but they use it as more of a max-protect passing scheme. Trent Dilfer completed short hitch passes to Antonio Bryant and Andre Davis from the formation; tight end Steve Heiden, lined up at fullback, slipped into the flat and broke a long gain on a rollout pass. No pro team is using the inverted bone the way most college teams do, as a goal line or short yardage formation. Most teams are using the formation on first-and-10 or second-and-long. Although it's not used as much on the professional level like it is in high school or college it's still used some.
  12. I can guarantee you the players and the coaching staff is not looking for Lawrence to lie down like some of the members say they will. I'm one Central fan that is looking for a war in Louisa tomorrow night. Heck, out all the ones that are predicting this massive blow out only a few of them is actually JC fans. I think I counted around six. Trust me on this one these six are just fans of the program and they don't have a clue about the amount of hard work that the Eagles have put in this week to prepare for the dawgs. There not players and there certainly not coaches. Let me ask you this if Johnson Central was looking for a blow out tomorrow night would they have been working there tail off to prepare for tomorrow night's game? No they wouldn't they know that they are in for a battle the entire game.
  13. When is the last time that you've seen Johnson Central run a straight I-formation under Jim Matney? Also JC run's most of there formations out of the wishbone and a I-wing formation. These formations are considered full house backfield formations because the have three backs and four if you're counting the QB. A full house backfield is not a fancy formation. It's a very common formation ran in high school, college, and it's even showing up more at the professional level. Johnson Central over the last two years and through four games this season under Jim Matney have averaged 37 points a game. Why would they go away from there bread & butter to a "fancy formation" now? To think that they might makes no sense to me.
  14. Fancy formations? Why wouldn't they stick to what's working?
  15. Johnson Central-Boyd County Lincoln County-South Laurel Dunbar-Tates Creek Pikeville-Belfry Prestonsburg-Sheldon Clark St X-Trinity
  16. Yes the Tigers did advance farther than the Eagles did last year. There's a HUGE difference when you open up against a 4-6 EVARTS team while JC had one of the toughest first round games in the state against 8-2 Madison Southern. How in the world can a team that has been destroyed 96-12 the last two years come on here and talk smack about the team that gave the beaten is beyond me. Your district and region outside of Pikeville and Somerset is a JOKE and some of you all talk like it's the NFC East.
  17. If you think it's quiet this year just wait until next season.
  18. What's the difference between last season and this season? Last year all we heard about was the high octane tiger offense going in to the Apple Bowl week against Fairview, Allen Central,Jenkins,P-burg,Betsy Layne and Phelps. It never stopped all you Big Blue tiger lovers last year from over hyping your team. What's the change RNC and other tiger fans from last year to this year?
  19. I thought Les was still at Lawrence County what happened? Is he still there or not?
  20. I was in attendance and I was thinking it rained the entire game but as old as I am my memory isn't as good as it once was.
