CentreRocks, I'll take Trinity against that All-Star team and give 10. Breathittfan, Don't take this the wrong way. Breathitt had a great team and there is some good football played in Eastern KY but you can't be serious that you'd take that All-Star team against the rest of the state.

I have a couple of good Ohio jokes that I like to tell to my in-laws (all of whom are from Ohio) from time to time. However, telling them here will get me suspended. But, I think I can get away with this Buckeye-on-Buckeye story. My wife is from Cincinnati but her sister married a guy from Cleveland. For Christmas in 1988, the season that the Bengals went to the Super Bowl, my mother-in-law gave each of the guys a souvenir Who-Dey Super Bowl 6 pack of Hudepohl. A couple of hours later I see six empty souvenir cans in the trash. I figured it was the brother-in-law from Cleveland. I said, "Hey, why'd you drink those, they might be valuable some day?" He said, "I hate Cincinnati and the Bengals. **** them and their ***** beer." BTW, mine remain unopened collecting dust behind the bar in my basement.

With a new deadline yet to be announced for submissions, we have received 8 histories so far. They have ranged from the very brief to the exhaustive. Here's a recap. 1. Chant50- history of Corbin football (very, very brief) 2. rebfootball-listed a summary of seasons 3. teeroy- gave a general history of Montgomery County football 4. gchs_uk9- gave a supberb history of Garrard County football 5. RyleRaider101- outilined Ryle High School's short football history 6. JuggSports- gave an early history and recent history of Lloyd Memorial football and expressed his undying love for all things Lloyd Memorial 7. LCPATS- gave an exhaustive season-by-season report on Lincoln County football history 8. bigfootballboy- detailed the history of Scott High School football Remember, you can make your report on any sport at your school, so long as it is not about the girl's volleyball team that just started this season. We're looking for a little effort but, more importantly, we want to be educated and entertained. Give us the facts but also tell us the interesting side notes. Mentoring is legal and is, in fact, encouraged. A Bowling Green student would do well to send an email to PurpleHaze...Paul Dean and Hatz would be helpful to a Boyle student...3wishes knows almost everything about Rockcastle...the list is almost endless for a Highlands student who needs help (birdsfan, oldbird, leatherneck, et al)...If you are student and you need help with research, post your query in a thread and maybe someone who has only been reading posts up to this point will reach out and help you. EKU05 and Johnnybrewsky, there are a ton of Belfry fans on this site, maybe they have info to help you. I bet the Belfry story is riveting. Where's the Danville representative? A lot of info can be found on the Danville football website. Download it and put it into an interesting story for us. (I'm talking about you, Ghost In Blue). I would really like to hear stories about Mayfield, Paducah Tilghman, Owensboro, Hopkinsville, the Louisville powerhouses (past and present), the Lexington schools, Harrodsburg, Bardstown...the list goes on and on. Show us your best stuff here.

Hatz: Being a graduate of the School of Farmer, with a PHD from Perky University, I am afraid you do not qualify. Perhaps Sasquatch can pay your way. Everyone else: I apologize for this "inside" joke. Hatz and I are both cracking up over this. Hatz is a former broadcaster who I have known for a long time. Fortunately (for listeners), he is doing the LORD'S work now.

Do we need to expand the deadline as well as the rules? Some of the contributors are planning on the selections being made before the end of the football season so that we can sign up the winners at the $3.99 rate. Give us some guidance.

Rebfootball, your inbox is full. You asked what I think you should change about your post. Do you have any information other than the results and coaches? I would do it season-by-season, highlighting the big games and top players. Put it in paragraph form, like an essay. The 0 for 10 seasons don't need as much written about them as the 15-0 ones. hssportsrbest and an anonymous member have agreed to match what I am doing. The latest match has come from birdsfan. That makes 20 scholarships available for 2003. GURU is right, I envision it as an essay. Rebfootball has good information and that may be good enough to win but it would be better told as a story.
