  1. They are the same caliber Cal has been landing the past 4 years. Not in the top 5, fringe top 10 guys that aren't the best of the best in the class...
  2. West is producing P5 level talent with regularity, they just didn't have a coach that could get them over the hump. That changes instantly as Bolden takes over. From what I've heard Colerain is strapped for cash and West made him an offer that was near impossible to turn down...
  3. When did Wes leave the recruiting world to be an agent? The answers you seek start there...
  4. Cincinnati is playing better than I thought they would at this point in the season. Xavier is not...
  5. Short answer is because he was fat when he was in high school. He's dropped at least 25 pounds since arriving at Seton Hall. Could always flat fill it up, but was seen as unathletic and out of shape...
  6. You clearly don't know much about Miles Powell. That kid can fill it up from anywhere, and when he's in rhythm it's lights out...
  7. Down by 20 with 2:38 left. Double digit lead for 30 consecutive minutes. UC was far better than NKU. JB said as much as I was sitting 5 feet from him in the post game presser. Just calling a spade a spade. Until next time when you predict an inferior opponent will take down UC...
  8. Cincinnati was up 74-54 with 2:38 left. That's a blowout. They put in the walkon with over a minute left and Sharpe threw in three triples that absolutely didn't matter. The game wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates...
  9. NKU was 8-22 from three until Sharpe threw in three in a row when the game was out of reach. UC grabbed 13 of 18 missed shots in the first half to totally dominate the glass. A 72% offensive rebound rate is bonkers. UC wasn’t trapping and trying to force pressure in the press. It was designed to slow NKU down and keep them from running crisp offense, and it worked all night. We must have watched a different game. It was a blowout for 30 minutes...
  10. Day is paying lip service at his introductory presser. If he’s landing Ohio kids outside the top 10 in each class with regularity, he won’t be long for Columbus and you know it. Expectations have changed since Tressel and so has the entire path to winning a title. You get there with elite, national level recruiting classes. Not a bigger focus on Ohio...
  11. The obvious switch was deciding they didn’t want to keep getting their teeth kicked in when they played the SEC in January. Go back to making Ohio the focus, and go back to getting run off the field against the best of the best. That’s not how you keep the Ohio State job...
  12. The technical was awful. No argument there...
  13. He’s not turning down 5 star national recruits to do more recruiting in Ohio. If he does, he won’t be the head coach at Ohio State for long...
  14. NKU on average fouls 23 times a game. Last night they were called for 23 fouls. It wasn’t on the refs they foul way too much...
  15. One a young head coach with a bright future. The other? I don't have anything nice to say, so....
  16. UC was VERY close to hiring him 2 years ago. Ultimately I think it came down to Fickell's ties in Ohio that pushed him over the top, but I know the higher ups loved Satterfield as well and were really torn on who was the better fit. I think he's going to be a very strong hire for UL long term...
  17. Do you think Penny's grand plan didn't include becoming the head coach at Memphis? That he didn't sell the decision makers on his access to James Wiseman and every kid that played for Team Penny in the job interview? Or Mike Miller as an assistant with his access to M33M? Come on doomer...
  18. Playoffs and a division title on the line and Gurley is on a bye. This isn't going to end well for me...
  19. If Penny has been funding this kid for years and then becomes a college coach and ends up landing the kid, well you know. I get you want to see it differently from the lense of a Memphis fan, but it is what it is...
