  1. If that's the case then I just need to start smoking again...and who knows I might also finally get inspired to write a song again after this way too long period of writer's cramp. :lol2:

But Hey... The Party's Not Over Yet!!! We've had fun with various theme nights this season, and while two weeks ago we pretty much got our freak on with a creepy "Friday the 13th/ Early Halloween" theme, theguru and I thought that it would be a good time to go with something to honor all of the players who have worked their guts out all year long for this exciting 2017 season, and pump this party up with some of the more current favorites that all of the players most likely have on their playlists when they're getting ready for the big game. Let's hear what you got!!! What tunes get your pulse racing so much that you can't wait to get out on that field and tear it up!?!? Join us here tonight @ 6:30 and we want this PARTY TO ROCK!!! :ylsuper:
  5. Being born in 1964 I was just old enough to hear my parents and older siblings talk about the show and its creepiness, and even enough to remember the name Barnabas Collins being mentioned, but with its original airing starting in '66 when I was just 2, and it being in soap opera form, I didn't comprehend the beginning era of the hysteria, and therefore never quite jumped on to know what was happening other than it being a dark creepy show. Other than simply hearing about it a lot in my development years, I truly can't say that I really knew the show very well, but always thought that it would have been something that I might've dug if I had been given the chance to start with its beginning with at least a 5 year old mind instead of 2 year old one.
  6. As in my first post I'll reiterate that I'm not passing moral judgement regarding Katy's outfit but... While determining the suggestiveness of clothing can be subjective considering the era of history we're talking about, as well as the geographical location, and with that, attraction to women's breast in and of itself might also be subjective considering that it's commonplace in more native cultures for women to be topless in public, while in modern cultures it is not while there's also a societal understanding that the sight of them can be sexually stimulating. Perhaps they are to all cultures, yet native cultures might have become desensitized as a result of the commonplace of nudity, while modern cultures still set the standard reaction to be that of "Wowzers" and equate them to being potentially sexually stimulating. When it's a common understanding within our culture that those who are attracted to women also often are attracted to their naked breast and can become aroused accordingly, they I'd say that a woman who is well aware of the reaction that she could get by exposing herself, or wearing revealing garments, and especially fashioned to scream sexy, then I say that without doubt along with wanting to feel attractive, drawing attention to one's self is one of the primary goals, and while that should give no one the green light to overstep their boundaries and grab them without approval, who are we kidding when we try to suggest that the wearer of such garments aren't to some degree "asking" for it. I wholeheartedly understand the plight of women who for far too long have had trouble with pushy men who overstep their boundaries while claiming that the woman was asking for it when that is generally just nonsense because they couldn't control themselves, yet bottom line...if a woman is dressed in an obvious sexy come hither fashion with her boobs all hanging out, and while even still it's no one's right to touch, it's most certainly a load of crap to act all surprised when someone does.
  7. Not passing moral judgement regarding Katy's outfit, but it would be my guess that when a woman wears a breast revealing garment such as the one that Ms. Perry is wearing, she is wanting the attention that is drawn to them.
  8. Not the same, but something similar... Though I had regular checkups as a kid, and into adulthood I've never much had problems with my teeth or gums, cavities or such. I honestly have not been to the dentist now for over 10 years simply because of my last visit. Dentist was drilling or something filling a cavity (which was surprising to me considering that I never had any trouble before with such things)... and while digging around I felt a quick sharp pain that felt like it went straight up into my brain. Next day that side of my face had swelled up and was in extreme pain. Went back to him and he determined that he had hit a nerve and that I would have to go to a specialist to have root canal surgery as well has have tooth pulled and replaced with a crown. My insurance paid for my checkups, but not the specialist that he was sending me to, and the $800 out of pocket bill to have HIS mistake corrected. Immediately afterwards the crowd had a jagged edge that kept rubbing on my tongue so I went back to the dentist to see if he could buff it out to smooth it up. No matter how many times he frustratingly tried it was still jagged. Thankfully over time it smoothed out by itself. Whereas I never had issues with food getting trapped where the crown now sits, I have now ever since it's been there because there is a small gap where there once wasn't. If I hadn't even gone to the dentist in the first place none of this would've happened. Though I'm sure in some cases they are needed, but in mine I think that he was either finding problems that weren't there, or creating them for me. Funny thing is that I've not had any problems whatsoever while not going to the dentist all this time. Go back years ago with a different dentist. He successfully removed my wisdom teeth when I was about 23. After that he concluded that I had Gingivitis and should use daily a $100 bottle of rinse that would as a side effect stain the teeth and cause tarter build up. Why the hell would I want that? Besides that the crap tasted awful, so next time I saw him I said how about I just rinse occasionally with a 50 cent bottle of peroxide? He said "Well I suppose that you could do that to". Truly, I've never had any gum problems to speak of and I'm sure that he was making it up to have me fill a prescription that would benefit him with a kickback. Every once in a blue moon if I experience gum tenderness I will rinse with peroxide and it will zap the issue with no need for a second dose. As you can tell, I don't trust dentists. Sure at times some might need them, but unless you really have an issue I don't see any reason to go to one just to have them create one for you, or have you believing that you do. Maybe I'm just lucky for having no teeth and gum issues, but my real luck was to finally get the sense to quit going to them. If I became desperate because of an issue, then I will but I'm not buying into the lie that every human needs to regularly go to one. I think, just like in many cases regarding the medical, pharma, and nutritional guidelines world, we are being duped to fatten someone else's pockets.
  9. Ahh...Caddy's... would have not guessed that. Off the top of my head I recall seeing... 311, Talking Heads w/ Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde as the lead singer, and Better Than Ezra at Caddy's, but on three different nights. Perhaps more, but can't immediately recall. There was another venue right near it (called NRG's I think) that I recall a show from the early 90's band Sponge, and also saw Metal Church there just as metal was beginning to lose some of it's popularity to grunge. This was in the same area as the Old Spaghetti Factory, and is all (I think) around where Paul Brown Stadium now sits.
  10. Unfortunately I never got around to seeing them. Where'd they play when you saw them? I'll take a stab at it and say Bogarts, but I could be way off.
  11. Ah yes :thumb:.... No mistaking Type O Negative when you hear them. Always sorta considered them a band in their own lane.
  12. Along with my take of the tired "patriotism" contest that I had previously spoke of, I'll add to it the "I'm a better steward of our country's freedoms including the Amendments of the Constitution" contest.
  13. Thanks man... Just for a bit of clarification, which song are you referring to?
