Cooper at Anderson (OH) Predictions/Updates
Averaging 60+ offensive plays is still crazy at the high school level.

Cooper at Anderson (OH) Predictions/Updates
They run a version of the air raid. They get plays off typically well under 20 seconds. The tempo is like nothing you have seen. They have numerous games each year where they run 80+ plays a game. They'll screen you to death, and then hit you way over the top with what looks like the same action but backside TE or something will be wide open 35 yards down the field. And most people play coverage, which is fine, but they'll gash you on the run if you do that. They have most entertaining offense to watch in the tri-state. And last year, I remember the one time I saw Copper play, they played a lot of man coverage which you cannot do with Anderson. They run too many pick routes. I'll be shocked if Cooper keeps it close.

Cooper at Anderson (OH) Predictions/Updates
Agreed. And the impossible part is how fast their no huddle is. You cannot come close to replicating it in practice with a scout team. And their passing concepts are so different from everyone else's around. Their coach does a phenomenal job with concepts and keeping defenses off balanced.

Anderson by 21. Their offense is impossible to prepare for.

Dixie at Simon Kenton Predictions/Updates
I expect SK to win, probably handily. While Dixie has some skill guys, I am hearing they are very weak in the trenches.

2025 Dixie Heights Colonels
I have heard the exact same story about Pac-Man from multiple sources. Pacman also posted on Twitter during that time that "he knew how to control coaches, and if they won't listen he'll take the talent elsewhere." Which is exactly what happened until Henry's mother took custody over the kids again and moved them all to California.

Is Bellevue getting a new field?
What are you talking about? Turf lasts about 10 years. It costs 500k or so to replace. So, you're saying it costs over 50k a year to maintain grass field? And that's not including turf maintenance that's supposed to be done which most schools completely neglect, which could open the door to lawsuits when injuries happen on improperly maintained fields.
-
Is Bellevue getting a new field?
To a degree yes, but it's more expensive over the course of it's life to maintain. And I wouldn't be surprised if in 20ish years, there will be commercials on TV about class action lawsuits about cancers that could be traced to extended exposure to synthetic turf fields, call for your free legal analysis to see if you qualify for a cash settlement.

Looks good, but it's a shame to see what was one of if not the last grass field in NKY now have turf. I personally am not a fan of turf at all.

KHSAA has had enough
Absolutely correct.

KHSAA has had enough
Alternative programs are wonderful, until there are budget problems, which is constant. They always are the first to go. Many of the general public think they are a big waste of tax dollars.

And wasn't that lawsuit thrown out?

KHSAA has had enough
There are legal statutes for how to suspend and expel. A lot of them. Even more if a child has an IEP. Schools must follow these. And a child must get an education in the district that they reside, that's federal law. Schools cannot permanently prevent that from happening. That's legal, not a school imposed issue.
-
KHSAA has had enough
Publics cannot permanently expel any student. So, if a child brings a gun to school, they are expelled for a year or two then must attend school again. There's also a a long list of procedures for suspending and expelling students of what you cannot do. To compound this issue, parts of principal evaluations in some schools (not all) is the based on the amount of suspensions. The higher the number, the lower your evaluation is. So, that in itself in counterintuitive. If a child has an IEP, the list of what you cannot do is multiplied exponentially, especially if the kid's IEP is for anything behavioral. Then, with everything in a public school being public record, you sometimes get media to do biased reporting to try to stir up controversy saying one group of students accounted for a much higher percentage of discipline incidents. The whole student discipline thing is a complete mess to put it lightly. People are always suing the schools over how their child was disciplined. Talk to any teacher or principal about how carefully they have to tread, even with serious offenses, because a screw up over the ever changing legal landscape can cost them their job and possibly pension.

Unfortunately it's not a school issue, it's a legal issue. Public schools are handcuffed with what they can and can't do with student discipline. Students must get an education in their district. Period. No matter how unbelievably horrible the offense may be, you have to let them back in. Schools want to do more with discipline, I assure you.

You just added the public/independent high school events. And the debate is quite literally who gets to be on the field. As I said, schools, any school, can without question arbitrarily decide who gets access and who doesn't. As I stated, it happens all the time. Big donors, and whatnot get that VIP access all the time without any media credentials. Equal access is for public areas, which the football field during competition is not, so it's a moot point.

The public venue is the stands, not the field. There is no equal access issue.

There is no equal access to football fields law, so that's why it would be thrown out. I don't think we are in the weeds, I personally think this is great discussion over a very relevant topic.

Property rights are property rights. The public is allowed in the stands, not the field.
-

So for discussion's sake, what would you be suing for? What rights would be violated?
-

Stuff like that happens all the time. They don't need a reason. It's like allowing certain people into your home and not allowing others. You don't need a reason because there's no right for people to be in your living room, just like there's no right for people being on the field. There's a fence or barrier around the field for a reason. Otherwise, everyone in the stands would be allowed on the field.

Just because you are refused access doesn't constitute discrimination. Yes, take that legal action for not being allowed onto the field and watch a judge immediately dismiss your case. Once again, nobody has a right to be on the field. That's where the legal action would come into place. Since no rights were violated, you have no case.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I get what you are saying. However, schools ? have the right to point at anyone and deny access to the field. Field access is not a right, no matter who you are.
