Purples with 168 yards, Gators with 86. I’m not sure Greenwood can continue playing to the Purples level for another 24 minutes but it’s been a great effort, hopefully they hang around and give themselves a shot to end a long standing losing streak against the gold helmets.

Greenwood has looked great defensively, but the Purples are starting to hit some quick strikes and that pass rush can’t get home. Barber really is unbelievable, they needed him tonight.

Ouch, is he still enrolled at the school? Know he wasn't a big piece to the basketball team but a part of the starting 5 nonetheless and the Cougars bring back their big 3, I'd say they'll be a fun team to watch in the 3rd region. He's the engine on the gridiron though, hate to hear that.

5AD2 matchup, first time these two teams meet up since 2010 where they met in the 2nd round and the Dragons squeaked by a Ed Smart led team with Hunter Gary playing Quarterback. The Cougars had a very good team that year lost to WC twice and BG once. This year Grayson County (3-4) is coming out of fall break with a win prior to against a winless Ohio County team(they beat Holmes last week, sorry). I’m not sure the condition of Hanshaw but he was the bright spot of this team and if he can’t go this offense can’t make much happen. Warren Central (3-4) is coming off of two losses to Greenwood and BG after running off three wins in a row for the first time in over a decade. The QB Dunn should have a big night, I’m sure his favorite target North will have 150+ and a couple of scores out wide as well. If the Cougars lose they’ll be in position to miss the playoffs, on the other side the Dragons could set themself up for a 3rd place game with Barren County next week. I’d say they would hope to have a shot at avoiding a trip to Owensboro but a trip to Madisonville doesn’t seem too favorable either, and considering Central host the Maroons to close the season a double dose of a team like that can really put a damper on what I’ve thought to be a good season. I’ll take the Dragons by a few scores in this one, if Hanshaw plays, Cougars may score one or two more but I just don’t think they’ll have the speed to keep up nor have a pass rush to create problems for Dunn. That’s a really good question and I did a little research into it because they seemed to of just jumped onto the scene here. Seems as though it’s a broadcasting network that operates in 4 states now, Pennsylvania (home base), KY, NY and WV. Apparently they’ve acquired WBVR, WWKU, and WUHU radio stations in recent years so they selected Bowling Green as a place they see themselves able to grow and that was a brilliant idea. The live coverage of HS football games in the area is just another perk they have to offer. I have to admit their video quality is very good. They talk some Penn State stuff as well on their YouTube and podcast, which now knowing they’re from Pennsylvania I understand why that is. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out considering Sporting Times has played a large role in the area with no competition since this technology boom. Some say competition brings the best out of everybody but sometimes it’ll put one competitor under, so we’ll see what happens.

Another streaming option

If Tilghman wants to be at the top of the class again they better not let these Raiders score many if any at all, no reason they shouldn’t dominate in every phase of the game tonight.

Not this evening, they have been streamed for every game other than Calloway County surprisingly. Have the Greenwood and Bowling Green game tonight which 2 different companies are streaming that one. I suppose ST decided to go to Grayson County/Warren Central instead, which it’ll probably be a better game anyways.

I'll continue rolling with Belfry until proven otherwise though I agree anybody in the top five has a chance. The Monroe County/Somerset matchup this week should be a fun one. Every time I've questioned the Ads this season they have not failed to show me that I know nothing. Coach Stonebreaker must really be working some magic, LCA will be a tough ask this Friday. Assuming the Eagles win, I'm interested to see how far they drop in RPI, Danville is sitting at #2 as of today.

I just cannot seem to look at the talent on the PT roster and believe there to be five football teams better than them in 4A. They have shown flashes of what it could be, but it's been consistent let down in performances throughout the year so it's understandable why they're at six. It'll be interesting to how they close the year because for the next five weeks it'll be another wave of lesser competition. Even sitting at 6-1 the Tornado faithful cannot be pleased, which one could say they were spoiled from the riches of last season and they may be right, but I have to agree there is no reason they should've lost to MNH or even let Logan County play them within a touchdown. I'll start really asking questions if they don't dominate the next few weeks, but they're still top two for me. The Boyle County win over X the week before last put the Rebels as the one, they've improved tremendously this past month.

As a fan of the talent here in the SOKY area, I’m thrilled to hear that #3 is going to be back. As a fan of competitive football well not so much, though I have no doubt these Gators will be ready to roll Friday night. Offensively for Greenwood it just doesn’t look good at all, not sure what they’re trying to do, limited resources I suppose. The QB play has been horrendous. I do enjoy watching Chaney tote the rock, he’s a tough kid. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think the Gators front 7 can give the Freshman QB some trouble making good decisions. We saw it against South Warren, unfortunately for Greenwood the Page kid for the Spartans started finding a rhythm in the 2H and hit some holes in the secondary. Go ahead and chalk up the 37th consecutive win in this meeting. Purples 35 Gators 7

Coach Howard starts off 1-0 in his Raiders debut. Isable seemed to of got banged up in garbage time but wobbled around to close out the game. If they lose him these next few weeks could be awful. On the bright side Warren East (2-5) will be on a bye and then host the reigning 4A State Champions PT on 10/17. Patriots (0-7) as a whole, they look disinterested in playing football. I was impressed with Grainger but after that it wasn’t much of anything that struck my attention. They’ll hope to get right on their bye week before they host Calloway County on 10/17. With Barren County and Franklin Simpson following the Lakers game there is a good possibility they’ll go 0-10 this season, not a good time to be a Patriot.
