HALF 8-6 Raiders ACS ball out of the break, Raiders scored on a Lightfoot TD. Patriots had a long drive that ate up the majority of the 2Q and Grainger hauled in the score.

0-0 End 1Q Raiders have the ball and are driving to end the quarter. Been a lot of penalties on both teams in this first 12 minutes.

I can only assume you are low on the Blue Tornado? I agree with the Cooper take, but I’m not sure that Scott County win against that banged up Purples team would be deemed the second best victory for the class of 5A when MNH caught PT. Which they’re schedule as a whole isn’t tough by any means but one of the more impressive wins for the class as of today.

In Tompkinsville they can play with just about anybody 3A below. On the road I’d take the Briar Jumpers by a couple of scores, the Falcons are sneaky talented and have decent size up front. Plus, I like Coach Petett.

No Hanshaw, no problem. The Cougars boat race the Eagles. Ohio County (0-7) has Holmes next week, and is on the road in a few weeks to face Thomas Nelson in hopes to scratch that 0 away. Tough look for the Hartford and Beaver Dam faithful, they’re a big enough school district to have some talent just unable to field a competitive team going on some decades now. Grayson County (3-4) will travel to Bowling Green and face off against the Dragons of Warren Central 10/17.

Went about as expected. Barren County did throw the ball more than I predicted but it was a heavy dosage of Daylan Thomas all night. Byrd made some timely catches and created a couple turnovers on defense. The QB play from BC just fluttered when it was needed the most, I enjoyed the effort from the young man though nothing to be ashamed about. Greenwood was shaky per usual offensively, Chaney stepped up when they needed him to seal it for them late. The defense let up a couple of long drives, one ended in the endzone and another through the uprights. They’ll have to tighten things up if they want to compete with the Purples in a couple of weeks but the resilience this evening can be applauded. Was a fun game.

A delay of game pushes it back to their 38 yd line. Punt gets down to the Trojans 32 yd line. :16 4Q

4th and 5 Greenwood was in formation to go for it but a false start pushes it back to 4th and 10. Gators lining up to punt now. :25 4Q

3rd and 6, Trojans are out of timeouts. 1:14 4Q

Trojans were driving but a sack fumble gives Greenwood possession at their own 38. 21-17 1:30 4Q

Kick goes out of bounds, BC starting at the 35. Both teams with 2 timeouts left.

Holding penalty puts BC behind the chains and they go 3 and out. Tried to end it with a long ball on 2nd down, didn’t connect and stopped the clock. Could end up biting them. Bad punt sets the Gators up at the Trojans 38 with 3:33 left.

Interception. Trojans will look to ice this game. Byrd has made some nice plays this evening for Barren County.
