The big adjustment on the defense side of the ball was moving Issac Neimann who was at safety the first half and first drive of the second back down to linebacker. With Gabe Williams out at Safety Issac’s open field play ability was appealing coming down from safety on a team that runs the ball 97% of the time. Ultimately if you go back and watch there was a huge difference with him at LB sealing the edge compared to the first half (hence why they stopped going to #9). I would’ve loved to see Gabe Williams healthy in this game because I don't think Scott County has over 150 yards rushing if that’s the case.

I disagree, I think Scott County makes a deep push in 5a , possibly coming home with it all.

Cov Cath should want Highlands, Boyle and Ryle to win the rest of their games in Regards RPI.

Yes a Highlands win would benefit them more than an Elder win .

I can tell you from watching all of Elders games , they’re not even close to the same team they were week 2. Yes teams should get better week to week but the rate at which the Panthers have done so is impressive. Elder was not beating Moeller in week 2 in my opinion. The Elder QB has really found himself and how to manage that offense in the last three weeks and the defense has really stepped things up. They are a true 2 platoon team across the board and Highlands is not . I’d say the bluebirds are definitely beat up but they’re going to go in there looking to come out with a win , no excuses . If the Birds play their best football I think they can do that !!

That 9.05 yard average really came from 3-4 monster plays . Harney had 22 yards on 15 carries , I think that was the biggest difference maker.

They had one loss to Moeller last year in Freshman Football . But yes, impressive…

I’d make a case for Highlands Freshman team 2 years ago. They lost the opener that year against Cov Cath but beat them by about 40 in championship. The first game was played on a Saturday following the JV game do to the heat. Highlands five best Freshman played that whole JV game then continued to play the Freshman game and were just out of gas. Lorenzen , Harris, Williams, Jacob’s and Feldbrougge were unstoppable. This years team is very special though and goodness they are big and strong .

It was 35-0 at the end of the first Quarter. Highlands put the 8th grader at QB after the 1st Quarter and he dominated as well. Beechwood did not gain one first down in the first half. They moved the quarters down to 8 min as well in the 2nd half. This one could’ve been wayyyy uglier. Kudos to Coach Abner for pulling the horses early and allowing Beechwood to run there offense and get their confidence back up.

Highlands 41 - Dixie 0

Not personal I’m just tired of hearing about it after Cooper , then CAL , then Highlands. I like Ryle as a program a lot , just not the way to go in my opinion. I think they’re a good team but regardless of healthy completely or not I don’t believe they’re the team they were last year. I said that in the beginning of the year . I think Lorms has not been replaced , Lee is good (yes I know he’s banged up) but he can’t bail out Verax like Lorms did time and time again last year. As well as Smith off the edge to complement Savage was nasty (don’t even try comparing Gay to Smith either , yes I know gay is injured).

Ryle is a 6a program with probably the biggest enrollment in NKY , it’s next man up point blank period. Highlands has been without 3-5 starters consistently all season as well including 2 off the o- line and D-line on Friday night, establishing depth is part of being a complete program and by looking at Ryles Freshmen and JV this year they’re really lacking in that department. Ryle will really struggle following this year and to be honest if not for Savage they wouldn’t even have a chance at winning most games this year, yes he’s that good. Hopefully they draw pleasure ridge , and great crossings in the playoffs again. Full of excuses, just like the head coach.

From everything I’m hearing Lee is a go for the Raiders tomorrow night, that will be huge for the Raiders.

These kids all played again tonight . 1,3 and 11 are what I’d consider their studs ?‍♂️.

Played the same team from the Winton Woods film as well , idk what else you want from me. We played Moeller A team last year and things went the other way. Highlands is not scheduling a b team game I know that, aside from that Elder is pretty down as a program as a whole right compared to yeas past if you haven’t noticed. Have you seen Highlands Freshman team this year, they’re pretty impressive.

Film says we played the same team Moeller played , there’s B team clearly came in when they went down 35-0 . I’ll say this , it looks like when it was all said in done . Almost all of their 80 kids got in tonight , but yes their dudes played .
