Coach Duvall is a good dude and played for OC. He’s been pretty successful overall and I’m sure he’s the all time coaching wins leader by far. He will coach there as long as he wants to.

He’s around 45-46 range so I’d say he has a few more years. With having Moore on the team, I think it caused everyone else to default to him too much. Ward is 6’9” for heaven’s sake. Gotta get him involved more. Ball handling was atrocious, but that’s where WCs athleticism showed up the most in the 4th quarter, causing a lot of turnovers by OC down the stretch. I was pulling for Grant County too.

Sad, but true, that hurts, especially coming from a Grant County fan, ?.

This is almost similar to the Collins/Shelby County situation. All of the talent went to Collins. Or is Scott County just underperforming? Scott County had a good thing going keeping one school when Hicks was there. He might still be there were it not for the split.

I tend to agree that WC has much better athletes, and I still think they win by 10-15, but it should be close until 4th quarter. OC has beaten Spencer, Grant, WV, and SK all soundly this year, so I don’t see them rolling over. Soccer drives me crazy. Those kids seem to play only soccer year round and get burned out by the time they are in high school. They could excel at other sports and be mediocre in soccer too.

I’d like it better if the district winner and losers did not both play against the same districts. It’s 31st vs 30th and 29th vs 32nd in all 1st round games.

Why do they struggle to get players? Don’t they have similar demographics to Grant and Harrison Counties?

Only exception I can think of recently is Walton-Verona.
