The HFC position is posted on Casey's district website. Who are the potential candidates to replace Stonebraker other than Levi Rogers, if he is the man?

It appears to be true. There is a thread stating that Stonebraker met with his Casey players this morning to inform them on his intentions.

How many years until Steve can retire from teaching? Will he be able to be the HFC and Co - AD? Levi is a young hard working young man that is looking for that opportunity to become a head coach to get a better job down the road, no hard feelings intended.

A lot of people don't know the limitations that goes into coaching. The long days / Short nights. Not many perks financially and with the lack of support from all hands on deck in most school districts, it makes a tough place to uproot and move to financially gain to coach. Most people coach because they love the game. A lot of people stay in their respective communities to give back, helping the younger generations. Its hard to just "coach" and not have a career in another field, but coach, even though it happens. There seems to be less and less teachers that are coaches due to the lack of support and monetary gain. Coaches in a lot of schools are not valued, the resources are not there so they may not be as successful as schools that do a total buy in.... Ex.. Current - Johnson Central, Belfry, Mayfield, Boyle, Bullitt East, South Warren, Bowling Green, etc.. I'm sorry if I didn't mention your school, but there are schools that want to field teams but don't have the total buy in with finances, jobs, resources and men/women who want to be a part of the school system - program. So what does it take to make coaching at the high school and below levels, appealing? Unless you coach with a buddy, get a good/decent job and are paid well for both - is it worth the time and effort? My suggestion is to look at your resources and the outcome of both academic and athletic success in your school!

What makes Parks the guy for this job other than being buddies with the principal? What is his record as a HFC? Has he won a playoff game as a HFC?

He may be one of the candidates in the mix, but they are down to 4 or 5.

Is this a fact? Why is he leaving? Is there more to it than him seeking another challenge?
