  1. If he is, he needs to do it sooner rather than later so Dixie can start their search asap. I see Simon Kenton got themselves a fine coach.
  2. It's time for dixie to make a change. This was a great team with many athletes, that will play college ball next year. They should of never lost like this. It's not on the kids. Hats off the ryle!!
  3. I hope the new coach can get some kids to come out and play football. Because I know there is some talent in that city! That football program has had some great teams!!
  4. Ryle needs to keep their heads up after this one. I close hard fought game against one of the best teams in the state. I would not want to see them come November!
  5. Hey look I'm not the only one on this post that thinks the play calling is suspect. I was agreeing with another person on this post. But they did have illegal procedure call after the onside kick. They proceeded to throw two hail Mary's instead of working the sidelines. Not sure how many timeouts where left cause he burns them earlier also alot of times. I have nothing against the man, just calling it how I see it. I have no horse in this race.
  6. No is attacking his character. Being a class act in your opinion is fine. Sounds like he is your friend. I'm just saying it's not on the kids. Dixie is deeper arguably all the teams they lost too. It's always on the head coach. That's any sport. The qb had many of them rushing yards because of a busted plays and the wrs being covered. Landers is a baller and can use his legs to get himself out of alot of busted plays. I know his jv and freshman get destroyed on the weekly. That's not a program getting kids ready for the next level. You can't defend that.
  7. Corbin is a good team, I think sk will have a really good team next year. They are a young team.
  8. Definitely agree!! That punt was mind blowing.
  9. You hit the nail on the head. The play calling is suspect at Dixie. This Dixie team is too deep and too talented to already have 3 losses. I've been to a couple of Dixie's games this year and there is alot of rumbling from the fans. This team is better than 3-3. The Highlands game was the best they looked all year, and he totally went away from running the ball.
  10. Beechwood keys to win= Use their speed! I think a heavy dose of running up the middle, one of dixie's weaknesses on defense. It's not their second level it's the d line. Beechwood can really expose this with the athletes they have. If Beechwood can get pressure on landers there could be some turnovers. It will be hard because I think one of dixie's strengths is their offense line which I will talk about when I do dixies keys. Beechwood also needs to stretch the field, this will be open after a heavy dose of running the ball right down dixie's throat. If hergot has time he is deadly. Beechwood also has an excellent offense line. Get their athletes the ball in space, Beechwood has many playmakers that can catch the ball and make plays. Berger , Moore, Courtney, and Parker. If I was Beechwood I would have someone like campbell spy landers, because he can make plays with his arm and his feet. Beechwood also needs to keep someone over top of holbert, they like to throw the deep ball to him. I think last year he was a problem. Dixies keys = dixie has found out in the highlands game they can run the ball very well, they have an excellent running back in rohlman, and their offense line is great! I have been to last couple games of dixies and they are big and aggressive. They need to keep that number 72 in the whole game because he is just nasty, he is not afraid to get up on someone and knock the snot out of them. He is also their best pulling guard by far. When he gets out in front of rolhman it's at least 5 yards everytime. He can also get up on linebackers and he does not stop till the whistle blows. They have been subbing him in and out with another kid and they are planets apart. Wiberly is just a monster and controls his side of the line. Their center is also very good. They do a good job of keeping landers upright. If landers has time he is lights out. He can also scramble with the best of them and pick up yards with his feet. If he gets time he can go over top to Hawkins and holbert quickly. They are two studs. I think a heavy dose of running the ball will help dixie control the clock and keep Beechwood's offense off the field, but landers can also pick teams apart, he has a new target in 8, he is tall and athletic, and can create space. On defense they have to make hergot uncomfortable, if he has all day it will be a long night for dixie. They need to spy him as well. I would probably use Smith for that. The secondary has to keep the receivers in front of them, Beechwood is fast. If dixie does that they have a great chance to pull off the upset. I think it will a close game. It will also be one of the best games of the night. Beechwood is looking for revenge because dixie is the last team to beat them. Dixie is looking to build off that big win last week. Both these teams have great chances to go far in the playoffs.
